Xelan101 had good points but I think I liked the original premise of a clean assasin's tool more rather than fanged and stylized fantasy gun. Functional and efficent forms to decorated and exaggarated ones. But that's just my personal prerence, I think the concept is fairly original either way. :)
I decided to step out of my comfort zone and did something completely stylized. I had a more fleshed-out version, which took about an hour, but Mudbox just loves to crash on me as I'm finishing up a piece. So here's what came of twenty minutes and a sphere.
I want to create a 3D Character model based on the displayed concept, the intention is to make it in an Overwatch/Valorant style. Feel free to point out any mistakes aside from the points I mention. The main part I seem to have a problem with are the proportions, even though the current model is more or less in a blocking…
Hey all, I wanted to reach out and get some thoughts on this stylized character sculpt. The original concept is from Hyeonsick Choi and the character is called "Flamingo" I feel like overall it's missing something to help it stand out. Right now it feels like it has the basic components, but it's either missing some…
Hi everyone, I'm wanting to learn how to create characters more in the style of Final Fantasy 7 remake; a hybrid of semi-realistic and some level of stylization. Reference to the style I'm referring to: https://ffvii-remake.square-enix-games.com/en-us/characters Are there any good online resources and/or courses that you…
I've been replaying Breath of the wild and Dark Souls, so it inspired me to work on a scene of ruins for a new project, I want to eventually merge it with a forest scene I worked on last year, so it'll be more stylized then realistic looking. I think the project will give me a chance to work more on making variations on…
Hi everyone. I' m working on a stylized environment/level that I might eventually mess around with in Unity. I was inspired by a few open p2s games, namely Dragon Quest 8. Stylistically, I'm trying to create something that looks retro but is still stylized and aimed for ios and android machines. I'm not sure how much polys…
Well don't just follow what I say like it's an order. Just think about whether or not it makes sense to you. I'd want to take some time to think about if I'm achieving the same artistic expression as the reference. So carefully looking at them in comparison might help: The concept is quite a bit more stylized in shape…
Where are the bricks? Brick walls are usually made of bricks. ;) If I were you, I would make a tiling brick texture and put it on more simple geometry. Judging by the shapes you're using, you're going for a stylized look. But the problem is you're modeling in a lot of surface detail onto the rocks, which would be a good…
Reduce the spacing from RESUME and the work. Seems like the padding is a bit much. I'd say you need another full scene maybe and a few more props. Right now I'm not sure what kind of style you're focusing on. I would pick current gen or stylized and go from there. Focus on 1 area and master that. Right now your scene is…
