my max has started being weird anytime i do a extrude it defaults to 10 meters which is huge, chamfers default to 1 meter, which is still huge. i would like these to default to 0 (sure i know i can rt click the spinner, but curious if theres a way to have it do that auto). i mean a 10 meter extrude seems extreme. also when…
I was attempting a little bit of a different workflow where I use dynamesh, masking and polygroups, entirely to build the shape i want from a plane. I got the shape of a sword I wanted but since I started it as a plane, I have no thickness. I cant inflate, panel loop or extrude to bring out thickness (distortion and…
Hey I have the problem with 3ds MAX that whenever I extrude one of the two original vertcies "doubles". So I have 2 vertecies (sometimes even 3 extra vertecies are created) at that point all off the sudden right on top of each other (which can be welded but) it makes no sense to me what am I doing wrong?
sorry for not being clear- the animated snapshot has the most issues, the extrude works better. In these shots, the first is the dupe, the second the extrude. Ignore the weirdness at the base of the extrude version, that was just me not lining the object up properly to start with. The curve for this has translated control…
Hi everyone, I´ve built a Vespa in Maya 2013. The technique used was extruding from a single Face from bottom to the top. But that leads (in my case) to the Problem of some hard/weird shadows. I don´t know if my technique sucks or if its a Problem with maya. If you know whats the problem please respond.
Hello, Is it possible to extrude edges and rotate them around their basises in Blender? That's what I want to achieve (example from Cinema 4D) https://vimeo.com/625355884
Just released a simple script for extruding selected open border edges while maintaining mesh topological curvature. Here's a brief video of how it works: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ILz7YNDtxAg You can get it here: https://gumroad.com/l/HetZV
this has come up before but i've yet to find a solid solution so i'm bumping the request. anybody know of an automated / scripted solution to extrude / inset a face with a circle of N edges ? or. chamfer a vertex to similar result ? maya specific. thanks
Solved! Thanks! Aesir This is what happens when i extrude an object in 3DS Max. As you can see the section i extend looks very bad but it has the same number of sides. This also shows up when i render. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks
