Yeah Rob, Bush's speech was embarassing compared to Obama's. I must admit I got a bit choked up listening to Obama's acceptance speech, truly inspirational and thoughtful . Whereas Bush seemed more into himself than anything else...

Watching the coverage on TV and seeing everyone celebrate when they called it was pretty moving. It's amazing to think that one person inspired such a reaction. He's a born leader.

I liked that Obama won the votes of people making more then 250k per year, even though those are the people he's going to tax.
I liked what McCain said in his speech.
I liked that its a clean election with a clear winner.
Obama got my vote not because it was historic but because he talked a good game, ran a cleaner campaign and wasn't GOP.

What bothered me when McCain conceded was the constant booing. I thought it was very classy/respectful the way McCain bowed out, yet while he talked about how they need to change current perspectives and work together, the crowd booed each time he mentioned Obama. wtf is wrong with his supporters?

They hung up on her when she asked where to get our number removed from the call list. They call center was actually about 2 miles from my house, so my wife went there and confronted the guy, who then proceded to claim my kids looked embarassed to be there. Then as my wife left, yelled out the door "SOCIALIST!".

In any case, I'm glad Obama won. This was the first time I voted and it felt good to be on the winning side. Most of the local issues I voted for came out to my liking as well, so it was a good evening for me.

Obama did mention both McCain and Palin acknowledging them for running a tough race and said he will be looking forward to working with them to solve the tough problems of the future. He didn't spend as much time talking about his opponent but he really did focus on the voters and the people of the US as a pres elect should I think.

It's truly time to heal the divides in the country and I am proud to support a soon to be pres that I feel will step up to tackle this task and lead us back into prosperity.
