Hello everyone
I'm working on a Rage fan-art piece. Some of you might know who he is, it's Rikter from Rage. Here are some high poly shots and also a quick'n'dirty test bake in marmoset.

Awesome sculpt! Love it.
Well, I just saw a screenshot from Watch Dogs with the new discovered graphic-effects and was stumbeling over a wall piece with insane detail and was wondering how did they make this.
Of course paralax mapping jumped to my mind. But I wasn't sure if such great effects could be achieved by this. So I just gave it a try. I was surprised how good the results were for such structures. Until now I was under the impression that paralaxmapping is used for materials without alpha. But it seems to be an awesome solution and I wasn't aware that you could tackle such complex structures with this technique.
I hope this helps some people that also were not aware of the possibilitys of paralax maps in such cases.
Here's an artwork for a collab I was part of. It's a fanart inspired by Little Big Planet and the world cup.
I'm making a low poly version of the character
I can't, in all fairness, enter the Blood/Petrol contest with this idea I've been dragging around for like, EVER, but I shall nonetheless use it as inspiration to finish this sumbitch within the contest timeframe...
Okay finished polypainting last night. Now starting to retopo. From now on I'll reduce the speed on start working on my RTS project I always wanted to do.
I don't want to haste the rendering process of in game engine since PBR has come new to CryEngine. Need to slowly figure it out.
As my policy I stay away from pre-render and show it as is. What you see is waht you get people
Working on retopo and bakes, still got a long way to go until the finishing line. I usually work with iOS specs at my day job so not having a strict tri limit feels like going to an all-you-can-eat after fasting for 2 years straight - so there's some excess now that I need to optimize. Not too bad, but I can tell I could snip out a good 1k.
So this is just a quick Marmoset test with bakes + flat colours with AO and a lot of missing pieces
playing with Marmoset toolbag 2 to get my Maleficent likeness closer, whilst cursing Zbrush perspective haha, the back and forth is so quick, I love it!!!! mid res sculpt and polypaint with hair/ear photoshoped in next up is detailing and prosthetics before bakes
Moar WIP. I've yet to figure out what I want to use as a focal point at the top of the hill. Hopefully it'll come to me in due time. I'm open to suggestions though!
I'm going to integrate cloth simming in the future but want to be able to make 'artistic' changes about certain folds without it looking obvious where I've altered things.
Hair retopo done, moved the head and hair to their own texture map and ramped up their resolution a lot -> re-baked all head parts and took the opportunity to tweak the eye region a little. Repainted the head from scratch and settled on a nice tan skintone.
First post on Polycount! Here's some Marmo screens of a few textures I'm working on for my current project. The goal for this project is to get comfortable working in Zbrush and apply the finished product to a scene in UDK. I'll post the finished level in a few months when it's at a presentable stage. Any and all feedback is welcome.
Cheers everyone!
Finished building Luke Skywalkers Lightsaber (still need texturing) and I'm currently building Han Solos DL-44 Blaster. I'd love some feedback on my work.

Shameless crosspost from my thread : I'm starting a new handpainted environment so here's a first work in progress of a stylized house.

Nice if you want to make a tiled texture but don't want to drop to canvas and do the whole 2.5D thing.
