been doing an old typewriter to practice pbr and ue4's material layers
still wip, (i only did the typewriter from the image, the environment is made by epic games)
A few example swords from a mod pack (for Rome 2) I am working on. These are using massive 2k textures, the final pieces will use 512 maps Any crits and comments most welcome and sought after!
that may sound weird but whatever - if i remember right, the butt fur was much much better on your old one, no it's just some strokes on the normal body, be before it felt like the fur is defining the shape
I think you're completely right, I'd like to go back tomorrow and give it another go. In fact the legs shape overall was much better, more curvy on the lower legs.
In retrospect, I like the fur overall more on the old character than I do on the new. Thanks for your feedback, Neox!
yeah thats what i'm talking about! it feels like you exchanged your natural feel for shapes with technical knowledge, don't i admired your old shapes, still so good *_*
Posed this model, textures still need some work but I'm getting there. Would love some feed back (Grey meshes and painted chains are placeholders). Here's the thread : http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=133308
@Josh/Kernersvillian - Thank you Josh! Ive been going around your showcase scene this morning..im lost for words at the stuff you folks have been doing recently. Great work all round.
@Ravenslayer - Thank you! I spent alot of time try to make sure that everything flowed together so im glad that you noticed!
@Intervain - Velvet bookmark eh..this could be arranged! Ahah maybe Ill 3D print it (I might have to dynamesh it first else it'll just be a pile of filigree..
@Akira - Thank you dude! Really appreciate the kind words.
A few folks asked for breakdown images so I put some together for my site, if there is anything else you wanna see let me know and Ill grab it for you.

squee that is so awesome!
nice progress popo.
Scott love the book bakes and turn out really nice piece.
Nice work nat though i think the similar rock textures and floor take away from your design i guess your trying to show that it camo's with it's surrounding but for rendering beauties i don't think it works well as it sort of blends in otherwise i like it.
Shouldn't post this crap here but meh, 512 - 1175 tris trying to use pbr on lowpoly/test.
It's my first post on the forum, your works are awesome !
