I updated the server to 1.0.5, it fixed a few things and didn't require a world reset. Install zip can still be found here.
If you're using Opis, make sure to make a backup of ~\Monster\minecraft\saves\mapwriter_mp_worlds just in case it gets erased during the update. Wouldn't want to have to start over on your hard-earned map!
Looks like one of those special zombies somehow caused the server to halfway crash. It was still running, but I couldn't connect to it even locally. I restarted it, it should be good to go now. If one of those special mobs causes it again I'll probably just disable that mod, though afaik this was the first time it's happened.
Server is down?
EDIT: Ah working now. Btw Eric, there might be a little tunnel going to your island, if you want to have a subway. I stopped it before it reached your home, but its near.
The server was up this morning (irish time), and I played about 10 minutes. Still had some issues with lagging, like blocks respawning, but not as bad as last night.
I know this is ancient history by now, but I was getting nostalgic and was wondering...does the old vanilla world file exist in some form or another? If so, it be made available for download pretty please?
I was asking that a while ago, wanted to get a copy of the one from before FTB and after FTB. Someone said something about making it available for download, but nothing ever came out of it.
I have to roll back the server to avoid potential data corruption (hard restarts usually cause it). If you did anything important in the last 24 hours, I'm sorry
Hmm, can't seem to find any of those blue thaumcraft trees anywhere. And I tried to create a Twilight Forest portal, because I was thinking that it might spawn there, but I can't create the portal. Dug out a 2x2 hole, surrounded it with normal flowers and dropped a diamond in the water and nothing.
EDIT: Okay, scratch the portal part, got it to work after relocating. But still wondering about the blue trees, kinda need them to do thaumcraft.
Also, with regards to updating, I was hoping to update the server soon. Too many things have changed though, so I'd really need to do a world reset. That's not going to happen, so we'll be on 1.0.5 from here on out. The only way I'd update is if everyone agrees on it (which I don't see happening in the near future), and Monster is marked as stable - which could still be a month or more away.
@James
Im on holidays so I havent checked for them yet, so cant tell.
Regarding the reset, if there isnt too many changes, you should be able to maybe cut'n'paste our bases into the new map in a open spot. The only problem is stuff that has been removed, that might be in chests, that might crash the game until they are removed. It should be possible to do with the map editor, I done it often in singleplayer. I can try do it if needed. Rather not want to start all over.
I'd rather just stay at 1.0.5 personally. If there's something major you want in one of the recent updates I'll see about getting our stuff transferred over.
Monster is officially out of beta, so if we ever decided to update, there would be no chance of any further updates breaking the world. Of course, an update from 1.0.5 to 1.1.0+ would have some issues.
I'm still not planning on updating unless we find something broken or everyone agrees to update, just a heads up!
Tested it this morning, it works. The issues are those ones we already know, that microblocks made of glass will be replaced by black/blue leafs.
Also, I saw some of these fellows near my house, so I wonder what else is new out there.
Hehe, what, the swarms of mobs was too much after the 20th death?
Btw, a little hint: If you make a farm, ENCLOSE IT! At night some winged fuckers flies in and kill all your animals....
And if someone is trying to use my exp farm, be warned, it seem that the spawning range is different from what I thought and mobs might spawn outside of the area, so when you leave the room with your leveled up guy, you might meet a bunch of zombies ... Gotta redo some of the area.
I was trying to help killing those buggers, however I was lagging and they hit me too much, and then I fell into a hole and mobs was around me, and I just quickly quit the game, to avoid getting killed. I was actually heading to his place to give some armor and swords, but there was just too many of those critters. I left the items in his chest this morning though, so maybe he can make use of it, and I placed torches around his house/area to help keeping the spawning down.
Little problem, I cannot create normal barrels anymore, unless I use jungle wood, and they are ugly and doesn't fit into the rest. Also, there is only recipies for jungle and oak barrel, however when clicking on the oak barrel, you cannot see the recipe.
Its funny, because I got a whole storage room filled with redwood barrels, but I cant make them anymore.
Same here, can't create redwood barrels. Redwood planks end up looking like oak. Oak barrels can be made just fine, though I haven't tried displaying the recipe.
I've looked in to it and I don't know a way around this one. I remember having this issue with an older version of FTB and it just fixed itself in the newer versions. Sorry guys
Strange, I didn't edit anything. I guess it just worked itself out again lol. Can't think of what may have done it, it definitely wasn't a version change.

Have you found any since posting? If not, I can have thaumcraft regenerate trees.
