really like the progress guys, nice to see u found your way over here too Al-Bot, and welcome to u windh. I'll update with something new as soooon as I get my thumb back from my ass
Started to add details but then I got confused about where to put shadows and what areas to leave clean so I started over and try to get an idea of what I wanted. This is definitely the hardest part of painting for me, when you have to decide what everything is. I'm much better at cool scrabbles that doesn't really look like anything :P
Well, yes and no. I redesigned it quite a bit. the one in the black n white thumbnail was an idea that I had for a troop carrier or tank, but I decided that a "mining floater" was way more fun to do
The thumbnail looks to much like something I usually draw, fun to do something different ^^
Here my robot is in his last pic, with whipped cream and some textures and final adjustments. Not really satisfied but I've been feeling really blocked by this pic so I want to do something new tomorrow. I'm sort of satisfied with it but it's nowhere near perfect. It's really true about those last 10 %.
Not exactly perfect but I dont wanna work on it anymore :P
Oh do I know that feeling! I think a less white background would have done a lot. And welcome Albin, good to have you here! Dunno why but I'm getting zelda-vibes from the pig
Hey nice stuff there Albin! I like the values and pose. What I think you need to do is tidy up the picture, you can use some line work to better define where all the details is and then carefully paint them over with a hard sharp brush. You can also use a hard sharp eraser to "cut" away at the siluette defining the form better.
Today I started at thumbnail stage on an environment pic that I'll be working on some days. Posting value- and color study, gonna keep modifying both I think.
good shapes and lightning Albin, especially the eye area! I think it would take very little effort to add just a little more detail to the axe, just to make it fit more with the rest of the drawing. Also I like staying away from pure white as mush as I can since I've seen that's what the pros do
Pic looking good, I like his pants. Dont think his axe is a huge problem, the other arm however could probably go "back" more, or something like that. still nice work, the axe got some nice shine there.
I've wanted to go to The Game Assembly for almost two years now, and it's very inspiring to see all of your awesome art, you are all very good! Keep it up! :>

kinda happy about the pose, gonna fix it up for my next picture
Nice pic though, you are definitely improving!
Not a huge update, but it's something.. Won't poke around in this drawing anymore. And he would probably never hold an axe that way.
Erik: Will be fun to see where this is headed
