*Update* Here is the low poly version. I have my maps on it...I have to do some map corrections. A little more diffuse work. let me know what you think so far... (im color blind, so if the colors are horrible.. let me know but keep that in mind ((still learning))
Just wanted to share this piece I've slowly been working on. I've been getting a lot of shifts at my restaurant and I haven't gotten a lot of time to art without being dead tired. I like the Darksiders style a lot and I wanted to practice it some more. I'm kinda unsure about where to go with the horns because I've never done horns before or creatures... before I started 3d all I did was draw girls O.o
@zelldweller - Looks lovely man! that's going to bake out like a charm, good stuff. Did you make a basemesh outside of Zbrush?
Sooo I had a couple of questions regarding some of the high poly stuff I've been working on for my Bioshock Scene, and I made a couple of quick tutorials this morning to hopefully answer some of those questions. It took ages surprisingly, but I guess its worth it if someone finds them useful.
Want some text turbosmoothed (FAST)? Well ill show you how to break every rule in the book.
I have been working on a lot of personal work lately and I got to spend some time on this lamp post demon head today. He still needs a ton of work as I do not like the far right view. But none the less here he is so far.
My website is old as dirt. It's time to get some new stuff up there. After Darksiders II Ships, I'm going to wipe my old site (including all the old content) and put up all new stuff starting from the first Darksiders to present.
To help with this, I have a little project planned out. I'm going to make a series of avatars. Here is a WIP of the first one. This "Psyclops" is loosely based on a concept I did a few years back http://cghub.com/images/view/139230
This started as a cube and DynaMesh. I've retopo'd it and am now starting to detail the sculpt.

Dude I hope you leave the old content accessible somewhere, that stuff is golden, I grew up oogling it!!!

Want to make a grate, the easy(ish) way?
Nope, I did everything inside zbrush. It was not that difficult, and it helped me discover a couple of tricks to make everything cleaner and quicker.
...we polycounters should make a sticky little tutorial thread only with these kind of little nice tuts - where we can share some nice tips...
really would love to see that
