and, continuing my mech hangar, finished baking the mech and progress for the hangar
That is really cool, but I can't get over the feeling that the mech is about to tip over backwards. It feels like the center of gravity is too far back because of the ski-feet and the angle of the lower leg. Still, excellent stuff, very cool design.
gilesruscoe: That looks great man! You pulled that together quite fast! I would say my only critique is the cloth folds on the back side of the pants. The cloth folds on the bum Look abit lumpy, as well as the back of the knee area. I would try defining those folds better.

Daphz that's pimp man! yaxx sweet horse head! gilesruscoe, thats lookin great. i agree with wester on the pants but I also think the shin armor disrupts the frequency of detail - i think the treatment is fine since it's mimicking the other metal portions but its so broad i think it could maybe use some breakup in the design like the other plates?
I'm trying to go through some subtle expressions so did a longer gurl bust to some music cuz ive been on a Yoko Kanno kick lately... I know it's the dumbest time in the world for a christmas sculpt? but i did a timelapse vid anyway if anyone's interested haha (vimeo too if the youtube's blocked for you)

Dylan that's pimp man, i think design-wise you're undermining it by having such heavy detail and disrupting your flow of frequency-o-detail in the front of the mask that could almost be interpreted as a face. Otherwise its pimp though, it reminds me of that sickass 3d short Keloid
daphz- duudee fancy pants came out great. very impresed with your baking methods. i do think you gotta let that diffuse shine moar though. get on with the paintin! less layers in your file! a little less dependent on layers towards the end of the process

Scythe, the eyelashes are always tough, in this case since i'm lazy i exported to max and made a plane to apply a transparent eyelash texture :eek:, but i guess you could hash them out all inside zbrush if you wanted to be way more Legit than me (maybe a tiny curvetubes brush?)

Its a wierd sketch outline shader I found in Zbrush thats giving it that greeeble/crappy look (yeah blame it on the shaders right?)
