I've been inspired by all of the fantastic work here, so I figured I'd share. I hope my stuff is up to the very high standard of the art I see around here.
Modeled in zBrush and 3DS MAX, Textured in zBrush and Photoshop, Rendered in Marmoset, inspired by... that Russian guy, who's name I can't remember right now.
Looks very crysis'y, are you talking about Timur Mutsaev - old crysis concept though. Or did you mean SlipGateCentral
Looking good, but judging by how tight the suit is, she either is close to anorexia or the fabric is super thin :P

Polypainted and worked on model. Made some fixes and added some detail. The likeness is getting stronger. I think I'll go with the Steve Zissou red beanie, with some light hair coming from underneath.
@Cybroxide, that is looking very crisp, and I like the colors, but the overwhelming amount of pink/purple brick causes the details to fade, such as the stairs. They just became part of the wall to my eye.
@MR. ace -- great sculpt, I especially like the ear and the clay-vibe hair. Is it based on Amber Heard? Either way, very well done.
looks great millenia, meterials work pretty well, though the metal might be a bit too monochromatic? some colored highlights would help i guess.
zk87: nice work on the anims, my only "complaint" would be, add more secondary motion, i'm no animator, but i think some more secondary motion like in the arms when he wals/runs would help sell it better

This is a Mineral/Fuel extraction vehicle. Burrows into the ground and extracts resources. It then refines the resources and pressurizes them into canisters to be delivered by a vehicle I will design in the near future. Maybe once I'm done with all this level design stuff I'm doing.
A few days ago I decided to make a tank, at first I didn't thought that it involves such work! hahah! But right now I have time to spend on this so... here's my work in progress so far.

some environments made with stock udk assets. first one is based completely on concept art (tomb raider?). attempting to create a short mod with this/based on this.
Posting a small update to my colt 1911. Figured I wanted to try it with some hands, and found some old hands laying around that I had a quick shot at upgrading to some sort of presentable standard.
So now my question to Polycount would be if you think those hands have any chance at being at least passable?
The body looks pretty good, but the face is off. It seems to me that it's too small for the head, especially from the front; Eyes too close together, mouth too narrow, etc.
thanks man, here's some changes:
brought the whole face up, then brought the jaw up, changed the nose slightly, moved the eyes further apart, softened the nose/eye transition, adjusted the ears.
Great work everyone, as always. I've been working on some Myst fan art myself, a re-imagining of the character Gehn. It's been slower progress than I would prefer, but I'm determined to see it through very soon, limited time permitting.
I have most of the main geo done, including props. Working on folds this weekend.
Here is the first shot at realtime bill murray. 3.5 K tris, but I'm not crazy about some of the placement so I might re-topo again. Shader is coming "okay", but needs work.

Some parts are lighter metal and the dust cover is actually brownish instead of bluish like the rest of the metals

about the thing on hes back its a battery backpack the glow will indicate how much power u have left on the whole glove+belt powerups and stuff.
the specs are 15k tri and 4 1024 maps (in game it reduced to 4 maps of 512)
