Got a bit further, and made a small beach area (still missing lots of props, 2 512x512 textures so far)
Really nice! I've been practicing painting and modeling, what did you use to make this? Maybe you could point me in the direction of some good tutorials? I mainly have no idea how to go about texturing an environment like this. Like I said I'm new, but your scene really made me want to ask for some guidance.
To be honest its a really specific test so all of the models are unique and unique textures too - but i'm using 3D coat for the painting and uv mapping, i tried using photoshops 3d painting tools but they came off as somewhat awkward to use (though i should give them a go again, kinda miss my brushes...but i guess 3d coat can import those too).
About tutorials i found the ones at digital-tutors really excellent, but polycount has its fair share of tips and tutorials - there might not be program specific how-to, but theres tons of hand-painted threads
Learning Maya in school!
It's actually disgusting how much school improves my work ethic, I have no spine
I'm not even stressing about deadlines or working overtime, I just get things done.

Had an itch to create my own League of legends Character skin. Had a few ideas, but this one seamed the most creative. Mind you that itยs a WIP. Anyone take a guess at the character and theme?

I know there's collab here, and this question might be unnecessary, but can i ask how you guys correct the "moirรฉ" effect in the lady socks?(i don't know how girls called it sorry)

Tomorrow I'll try to finish the low poly model.
Update: Tried to use the advice from Neox, hopefully he's as least half as adorable as the concept now.
