A little more exploration on the idea I posted 2 weeks ago. I'll make a thread when im behind my desktop again.
Elementrix man you're killing me, I'm loving it ! I'm guessing that you're using mudbox to paint over the scenery. Keep em coming !
Btw to reply to your previous message which I missed :
CHOCO !!!, love your work man, good to see you like it. At the GDC I saw these flyers at the Crytek booth and your environment was on it :P (also in a couple of other magazines, crytek is using it for their advertisement though I guess you knew this already.
I didn't know that crytek was using my work for advertising their engine until you told me haha
Its cool, I kinda wished they'd have sent me an email or at least put some credits down there. I also heard that they used the same ads on Edge UK mags
I guess that anything created in the CE3 sdk belongs to them.
Thanks for telling me about it !
I'm giving a little break from stylized stuff and trying a likeness exercise. Mr. Fedor Emelianenko. Crits and tips in how to make him look more organic and natural are welcome.
started the texture on this one. I dunno why, but it's frustrating me to the highest level. It's not even slightly acceptable as of now (just talking 'bout the face) and it's really bugging me.
Other than that, the normal is baking juuuuust fine, so I really have to push the hell out of that diff~~
Thanks Ferg, I had it but haven't read it it in full . I must, also, force myself to have some ref-lifelike skin nearby too, I always goes the "icandoitalone bonker" path, but I can't, i'm not baws enough
cool props guys.
have been doing some hand painted stuff. ~1200 tris, 512px
Looking good, but maybe the skin could use a bit more tonal variation? Some purples on the shadows and maybe make lighter parts more yellowish. I see you already gave it a subtle red tint on the nose and the tips of the ears, maybe take that a bit further as well?
Just finished our first app, my husband and I. It's a vocabulary training program. I did the UI, all graphic elements, and the photo for the app store banner.
The app is totally free, and if you add all your own vocabulary it remains free. However dictionaries of common languages can be bought for 1 euro.
Alright, so I got approximately 4 days to turn this turd into art.
I might make a thread when I got some more progress, and when it actually starts looking like something.
Muahahaha! Man i'm glad it didn't fall on to me XD
Haven't stopped by this thread in a few days and wow is it still going strong! Great work guys and gals.
Some of my stuff...yea this is a bit of a dump I apologize
We are doing a work friendly dota 2 character challenge. Essentially come up with your own champion for dota 2. I have been doing some sketches during lunch. I drew this probably way to small a rez but it was fun to just go nuts and cast a wide wide net. These are all just rough thumbnails, about 30 mins a piece give or take.
Beware the battle cock!!!
I hate the symbols on this girl so lame but just placeholder incase I moved forward. Needed something to tie her into the monster together.

Good start, jaw is too hard needs to round out more, under lip doesn't pop in enough, nose has a longer slant at the end, under eye inst as puffed out as his, his lower lip comes out further than his upper, his chin is rounder from the side.

Decided to pick this up again:
That 3D graphical style is stunning.
Glad this project is still going!
Just started messing around with a character idea for an old-school, hand-painted, mobile, platform-game me and a mate have started.
Thoughts?

Updates on my Bioshock scene! Hopefully going to do some motion-graphics stuff this week and do a capture of the movement in the scene.
the back legs on the horse is quite off in anatomy/proportions. the lower leg should be more straight down.
This is beautiful, can't wait to see how you've done it.

In the meantime I have done another low poly gun and some clip-ons for the rifle in the nerf/warhammer gun series...
Nothing too original but fun none the less .
Really like these three:
1 2 3
You should make your own thread, is this just a concept competition?
Trying to get finish with this guy to start working on the PAPERCUT comp
Laying downs some base colors
I love all these same with the others, so simple but perfect.

Here...
Some mudbox sculpt for fun)
Rayph those are amazing man. "E" is my favorite.
Here is a cross post from my Michonne thread
and I would love some feedback before I move on to dressing her up.
F was interesting, I could use that part to tie the pilot into the vehicle better and incorporate some of that space age shit to the cockpit/djbooth.

Here is the Crowned Ibak, the whole thing took around 8 hours to make.
I hope you like it!
Dude this is just awesome.
Welp... moar for the thread:
I myself have been thinking of starting my own Bioshock inspired environment. Love what you did here.
