Bane, you know, the big guy. Bane was in the Batman flick with Clooney, Scwharzeneger, Uma Thurman, you know the one where he couldn't actually turn his head and instead he had to turn he's upper body.
How is Catwoman on the Bat-Pod a bad thing? Couldn't she have hijacked it to save Batman if he's getting his arse pummeled, I mean we are speaking of Bane afterall.
Nothing will come close to The Dark Knights level of masterpiece, the cast came back in top notch form with heightened spirits, they tightened the scripts, a famous actor died, and it came out during the time when Superhero movies and their goofiness could be excused and could be darkened with minimum bitching.
So yeah, if there is one thing we have to worried about is this movies having to live up to expectations on a certain kind.
^this is the first thing from any of the Nolan films I really haven't liked the look of. You're right on about it looking like a mech, the 'arms' or whatever feel a lot like a classic Mechwarrior Timber Wolf. Hopefully it gets better in post...
I like it, follows the stealth design of the Tumbler, which nearly everyone hated when the first shots came out
Thats exactly what it DOESNT do. Which is why I kinda assumed that if we did see a bat jet in the third one, it would pretty much be a small stealth jet with some design tweaks; after all, the tumbler was heavily inspired by the stealth jet.
And everyone creamed over the tumbler when it was first shown as far as I remember.
This new hover thingy just looks like a mech. Or an undersea diving robot.I do however have a feeling we are not seeing the whole thing, and there are CG bits to be added to the back, like more engines and stuff. I fucking hope so anyway.
I think you're probably not looking at it right. I'd suggest that everything below the cabin is a rig rather than anything you'll ever see in the movie.
Now keep in mind that what we're looking at here is probably only what we'll be seeing when the actors are getting in and out of the thing when it's on the ground. The rest of the time we'll be looking at a CG version which I'd bet money will fold up into something much more aerodynamic.

You're saying the gay arms with the fans are part of the rig? What possible use would they be, theres a car underneath it. They've got to be cosmetic surely (i.e. for the movie)
I think it's safe to assume that the jet things are part of the vehicle. It's also safe to assume they won't just be dangling about like that once the jet is use.
Another thing to consider is they can augment the real object with CG. It's quite possible that there are entire sections that will be added in post.
Some more videos on this guy's Youtube Channel. He (or she i guess, idk) lives along one the main streets of the set, and is apparently legally aloud to take as much footage as they wish within their residence.
The motherhfucker FELL OUT OF THE GODDAMN SKY and landed on a light pole! Could it be possible that some things were fuckered on the way down? Also, there will be work in post. Stop being dicks and judging shit that isn't finished.
People were skeptical about the Tumbler when it was first shown as the new Batmobile, but it turned out fucking awesome.
People were skeptical and openly mocked Nolan when it was announced that Heath Ledger was going to play the Joker, but it was a fucking amazing performance that was memorable as hell and extremely well-received.
Now people are bitching because Anne Hathaway (who's actually a decent actress) has been cast as Catwoman and there's a Batwing that people know fuckall about in the context of the movie.
Everybody calm down and put your pants back on. Christopher Nolan is a good writer and director and he has a wonderful cast and crew. The movie's going to be cool.

Geez, thank you. Beat me to it. Howz bout everyone waits and sees it in the context of the film before losing their marbles ok?

Ledger was as good as Jackman at best. The fanatisism that happened because people had made their minds up even before the film was released cause he died shortly after, and cause they were told that it was an incredible performance, is getting extremely tired now. He was great during the jail sequence. At all other points he was just someone who licked his lips way way way too much.
That's what I'm talking about. That's what happened last time. You are critisizing people for jumping to conclusions, yet you are doing exactly the same thing.
worst case scenario, the movie comes out and sucks. oh well, not the end of life as we know it, the world keeps turning and people continue to go about their measly little lives :P
The hell they weren't. People were just as up in arms. And by people, I mean faceless neckbeards on the interwebs.
I went and googled it and it appears you are right... my apologies. Maybe your also right about just waiting till we see the thing in a trailer after its been through post.
People gave out about the suit from Batman Begins? I thought it was great. Simple. TDK one was a mess, too noisy, and deliberately left him susceptable to attack from both villains in the movie. I facepalmed when Lucius Fox said the suit would be more susceptable to knives (Joker, check) and gunfire (Two Face, check.)
Caught the Prologue in IMAX. The most masterfully paced and directed bit of action i've seen since the dark knight and inception. It was a fantastic display of rhythm on the screen
They're going to need to do a little work on making Bane more intelligible. Even with the crappy video quality factored in, he's far too difficult to understand.
Is it Mission Impossible that this trailer appears before?
I'm really having a hard time getting into the hype over this one. I watched the most recent trailer before the new Sherlock movie, and couldn't understand a single thing anyone was saying. On top of that, Bane's not Hulking out, so I have hard time considering him Bane.
edit - other thing I don't get in that trailer, what the hell are the people chanting in the background?
It is supposed to happen years after The Dark Knight but the funeral is obviously right after the demise of Harvey Dent...OR IS IT?
Why so many tumblers driving around?
Where is Wayne when he's in that prison like building asking about the chant?
Why was Wayne walking with a cane?
Does Bane break the Bat?
Who is John Blake? (Joseph Gordon Levitts part) We know he's a cop under Gordon from info posted so far and the latest trailer.
They talked about becoming an ideal, one that can't be broken or undone or something along those lines. Could Bale be killed or like I said above have his back broken and perhaps someone take his place? Blake perhaps? I am sure I am way beyond reaching here on this but I think I remember Nolan saying there would not be a Robin so does this make sense or do I need to get sleep?
I just sort of assume at some point Bane "breaks" the bat, figuratively just by beating the crap out of him, or literally breaking his back such as in the comics. Either way, something that puts him out of commission for awhile, some shit goes down in the meantime, after recuperating he comes back with a temporary beard, and more shit goes down. Catwoman will also be seductive.
...that's my uh...analysis of it so far.
Not really as hyped up for this as I was for the Dark Knight or even Batman Begins. Not sure why, it seems like it's moving farther away from that feeling of dirty "realism" (in a sense). As soon as I saw the football field cave in, I mean it was cool and all but part of me was going "...really?"
I'm sure it'll be good, but I'm holding out on trying to make any assumptions or judgements so far.
I think the John Blake character is a red herring....could be dead wrong on this..but I think batman is going to get killed...or damn near it...and then Talia Al Ghul is going to bring him back via some mechanism like Ra's Al Ghul's Lazerous Pit. Might be too comic-booky for a Nolan film- but it wouldn't be to hard to explain Wayne Enteprises nano tech repairing his spine or some such.. I guess it all depends on weather the Miranda Tate character is really Talia Al Ghul..in any case, I trust Nolan is going to bring us a film Batman fans will enjoy
ugh the Bane. The trailer look like a very generic action flick. I'll still see it but something about it doesn't feel like a batman movie at all, almost like another Diehard.

Anyways.

I guess this is confirmation that Ras Al Ghul's daughter features.

And put a hello kitty sticker on the back yay
I'm seeing scarring all up Banes neck and tubes as part of the mask... venom being used after all?
oh, the Layering!!!
the dude in the bottom right looks like Ryan Gosling answering a text message amidst all the fighting.
Feeling momentous amounts of awesome because that photographer is my roommate
Fugly as fuck. Looks like a mech.
Nolan is doing his job, the movie gonna be good~!
Christian Bale is barking mad.
EDIT:
Tons of videos here. Major spoilers. But awesome.

My heart sank when I saw that. I've always thought Nolan's Batman was great because it was realistic and he'd created a believable universe.
This though.....
Combined with catwoman.. my enthusiasm for DKR has gone from the highest it could be to next to zero.

Quality isn't too good.
Michael bay, take note!
Also, bane might possibly do joker justice.
Is it Mission Impossible that this trailer appears before?
I think the audio balancing was a bit off when I saw it as well.
It needs to get seen in IMAX.
Think it's a leaked release since there's no decent quality version around. Still looks good.
Also, fun fact: The thumbnail on that trailer from youtube, I walk down that street every day. Doesn't look nearly as cool in real life
edit - other thing I don't get in that trailer, what the hell are the people chanting in the background?
... Wayne asks in the trailer.
Got goosebumps.
