Choco: Love them rocks! Looks neat in the engine too You're using them on the rock meshes in the back? Just apply to a rock shape then cut and extrude to match?
Hey guys! Been working on a stasis tube. Took some inspiration from the one in Super Metroid, but tried to make mine look a little bit less clunky and gigantic.
kio - awesome stuff, very dramatic and atmospheric. the bend in the rope bridge looks unrealistic though.
MrHobo - badass the spec really brings it out. the skin tone looks too clean though, some dirt and grime would add to it I think.
Great 2D stuff Blaizer and SplatPixel
Wizo - amazing work, although more specular variation is needed I think
Mental Radiation - that's got a really nice look/style to it!
Robat - I love this, keep us posted!
suburbbum - beautiful work! I like the splashes of red - it feels like the feathers should point up at a higher angle though, I think it would 'flow' better - wish I could give a more tangible crit!
choco - those rock formations look great, can we get a close up?
nice clean looking gun Free_Fall
Dan - you've met your aim of breaking away from the typical fantasy look, awesome design! The legs could use some sharper angles I think, and looks a bit off balance
GragGunslinger - I look forward to seeing this with more high-frequency detail and textures eventually, looking good
working on a small cave environment for an imaginary hack n slay, rpg adeventure whatever. i used unity - only dynamic lighting for now (who built these crappy standard shaders there..)
n88tr: I may be mistaken, but I think the safety is the button above and in front of the trigger. The cylinder release is the two buttons right in front and under the rear sight - the whole barrel and cylinder tip forward to release the shells. As for the seam, I have no idea what it's doing there, but it's on the real gun, so it must have a purpose
doesn't this gun have a safety or a cylinder release?
and what's with the seam inside the square shape that holds the cylinder?
Hey, The revolver breaks, like so :
The 2 buttons above the back bit are moved forwards or backwards (not sure which direction) To release the lock so it can be flipped open.
About the seam, as far as I could see from reference, there's not a lot since the gun got canceled because there wasn't enough interest, the cover thingy's are separate pieces. So I just assumed there would be a seam there
The Ink n' Paint lines around her eyes make it look like her sclera are black. I dunno if that's intentional but it kinda makes her face look a bit strange.
God damn, so much good stuff lately.
Murph, that texture is the bomb diggity.
{Scrumworks} - That torso design is looking great. How does the front work exactly? is it going to be button up or zipper stuff?
Oniram - Looking great I still think it looks like a magical hair dryer on a stick
Dan! - Holy shit dude, breaking the barriers. More of this please.
Guna be hand paintin' just blocking colours for nowwww
should probably post a picture with hands, but i don't want to spoil you all, pretty wip still!:
you angles on the treds are too sharp to bake down to the normal map.
try to have them bevel up, the normal map dosnt store height information just face normal angles so you need to give it a bit of a lead up to different height differences so it has something to bake.
scale in the top of the treds to bit to get a bit of a slope between the top of bottom of them and try to avoid 90deg angles for anything you want to show in the normal map.

Ohman.. seba beats me to it
Worked a little more on this today.
Got around and finished him up. Not too happy about the Z work but w/e..
Guess I can do another phail with the comicon.
Some quick BPR renders from Z.
Woah, some very clean forms happening on that suit. I take its mostly hard surface modeled?
@ nightshade - I'll trade you 5, for a day (1) without rain.
-cheers
got my colors all blocked in. gonna start texturing tomorrow.
This is looking awesome!
just a doodle, and went overboard with the alphas but stupid enough to share that someone might get a kick out of it.
and Dan!, that dude is so fun
@ itismario, her arms seem really thin
some of your proportions are of like the rotating part, it should be much bigger
and the barrel hole and some other parts
your should go over it all and fix those, its pretty easy model, get it perfect
Still a bit wiggly but I am going to call it quits for now.

Edit: Spelling.
THIS...is awesome.
I started retexturing the TF2 soldier... but I got bored so I probably won't do anymore... hehehe
Murph I am totally digging that texture treatment. Keep going!

so far this is just a concept
More work on this:
Dat crack brush.
That is badass man. Great sculpt and great render.
This looks awesome. Really nice render. You've got some fantastic stuff on your website too. Mind sharing any tips on that render setup?
my recent dump.. finished up that gun tonight and the helmet a few nights ago.. helmet could use some more love.. there are some jaggies I need to fix
