Hi guys! Here is my sculpt for the Character Forge3d challenge at CGHUB. I was called History's Villains and I chose Stalin. Here is the sculptris file if you want to check it. http://www.sharecg.com/v/52110/view/5/3D-Model/Stalin_bust
Something quick after watching the movie ‘The Fighter’ a few weeks ago. Spent some time doing test with the camera effects in Unity. This is a screen grab with no editing.
Jackwhat: Looking forward to seeing that finished, looks like its going to be pimp.
Skylebones: Looks Sweet, but for me the floor stands out a bit too much. My eyes keep get drawn to it vs the ring due to the strong contrast in the wood grain.
Tea: is that all zbrush? Looks great, was just the style of TV I was considering throwing in my environment hah.
Had a poor morning so I took to work for distraction. Started in sculptris and finished in zbrush. There's plenty more I might like to do, but I'm calling it a one day project and do not plan to touch it again. Never the less, any critique for the future is appreciated.
Oh man revender i'm sad to hear that you will be calling it quits on this piece. I like it a lot, a lot of character and believability to it! Seems like you have a great grasp on realistic possibilities of other universes, i hope this post makes you change your mind!

@ Revender, wow that's awesome for a one day project o.o
Could you post a bigger picture of just the fish, from what I'm seeing it looks like a pretty awesome design!
hi everyone, I´d like you to evaluate a model that I did and make some reviews ... if possible try to guess who is this model that I tried to represent .... thanks!
a quick sculpt inspired by a sketch from Bobby Chiu very early on and is missing the tiny yet huge wrestler trying to pick him up also working on a sexy vampire lady but needs work still
DDuckworth, Thank you for the kind words. I have a history of noodling things to death before even getting the overall piece in place, so I plan to work on more quick practice projects like this before I let myself get carried away with details and polish, though maybe one day I'll look at this and want to continue with it.
cupsster, Thanks man, I'm glad you like it.
MeintevdS, Here you go, though nothing special to look at up close.
Jeffro, that is wicked work you got there, so refreshing to see nice clean environments that arent cluttered up with rust and drowned in pointless detail.
finally had time to mess around again, playing with hair alphas in xoliuls shader
Very cute girl model you have here, she looks believably real unlike most girls that end up getting made in 3D, keep it up...on an off note - can I have her number? :poly129:
GCMP, that wheel looks bitchin! :P Great work! And I love your studies Allan-p!
I have been working with a monster head I made in Zbrush:
I exported the high poly into Silo 2.2 and did a retopo mesh. After the mesh was done I UV mapped it but now I got these annoying deformations in the UV. I tried redoing the UVs, Checked the normals, Moved UVs around, smoothed the UVs, deleted faces and created them back... All with no luck... Anyone knows what this might be and how to solve this? Im kinda stuck here:
Due to the fact that this model is crying for beeing textured I´ve also decided to join into the game
Some little amount of work in all maps is left (scratches, used-effects, normals for theese etc.)
Glossines is still missing but it will be realy easy to create by reusing the existing maps. Map sizes are 2048*2048 Px.
Reflection and Glossines will be reduced to 1024ers later.

Doing some hardsurface practice, here's a wip shot.
Also, I've just realized how awesome Zbrush's matcaps can be :poly142:

Just a quick zb render of another headbust. Will prolly bake it and try to come up with some tx'tures!

Still having a rough time with the reflections. Hopefully I can get them looking decent with tiledshot command.

about the face though, I think the lips and the nose are looking a bit off.

Theres one Big mistake with that tire.. The Bolts are looking each other, they should be all straight to the center.
In your case your bolts are screwed into the base, but they must be straight like those.
