I figured as much, I am sure that the textures and color schemes will go a long way in bringing out Dhalsim in your design! Keep it up cause it really looks amazing and I would love to see the end result. Ill keep on checking!
There's actually only one thing you need to make it "Dhalsim" again...
obscura that distortion pedal is a nice prop but please put it on a less invasive background orange on orange doesnt work well, orange on dark desaturated purple would work maybe?
Now the details pop out a little more with the addition of a gloss & emissive!
It uses the normal map + fresnel for an emissive. It can still appear dark, but under certain lighting conditions the tiles really pop out. I suppose for real dark scenes it wouldn't be ideal at all.
Here's a design for a character I'm planning to sculpt in Zbrush. I want to take the urban vinyl/animation maquette style and apply it to something more fantasy-based:

Wow, Rapante, that's amazing. How is that all flash? It's very 3D, and looks fantastic. I'm needing to look into ui stuff soon, and I know less than nothing...

well you throw everything you want to use in Flash, wether it is images or vectors. then by using scaleform's 3Di flash extentions you can "add" another dimension via code and make it a funky 3d realtime UI
this one is purely vector stuff done in illustrator and imported into flash (I know, that this has some performance hit due to draw calls, but I just wanted to see where the limit is )
it's basically a "door hacking" minigame, what's missing is quite a few things I have planned as background animation and the intro and outro screen
Been working more on this barbarian guy. the hair, mustache and eyebrows are all placeholder. Mostly been slowly working on the body up until now. Also hoping to finish the full high poly by the end of this week.
some swampthing thumbs, but after seeing how dynamic and interesting nicks picture is ill need to give him some major fucking umph to get him looking cool.
Been working on this for a week or two. Blocking out colors and patterns to see what works and what doesn't. I was going for a more aquatic theme but it kind of turned out looking like a thundercat (which I'm totally for).
@HAL
This is such a nice piece but the face really pulls it down.
If you put a little more work into the face it could really shine.
Made a sloppy paintover to show some things that bugged me
Keep it up!
@Suburb: Nice! the colors are really interesting and unique, but I think the black dots are a bit mutch, maybe just blend them with the brown background.
Been working on UVs and baking for the last few days. Just trying to get it right and fix errors.
hi everyone, I´d like you to evaluate a model that I did and make some reviews ... if possible try to guess who is this model that I tried to represent .... thanks!
Gianna Michaels? Would crit if I found anything to point out which I don't
_Calix_ - That looks awesome though I still feel there should be some sort of globe on top! suburbbum - I really like your guy! I can see him running around Pandora as another race in Avatar!

I'd like to see more value and temperature variations in his face spitty, but other than that I think it's pretty much spot on
