Well, the trailer DOES look awesome. But I can't help but see the Master Chief in a grey suit. O_o
The whole concept is just so similar.
Regardless, I'm really anxious to be able to test out CE3.
lol I really have no idea where you guys are gettin' this idea from. This doesn't look or feel like Halo one bit. Other than the fact that you have a special ops soldier equipped with a badass suit and plethora of guns to be used against invading aliens... oh wait..
It's the generation gap. When kids see fps they think halo. adults see quake or unreal
Nah I know what you mean. And having logged ridiculous amounts of hours in UT, I know what a true FPS should be like.
But srsly, this looks more like Halo than Unreal or quake, IMO..
Back on topic, I'm really curious to know how the sliding is going to work. Can't wait for the release! Hopefully this won't kill my computer. I can run Crysis just fine, but this one looks heftier on the requirements. :P
i miss the koreans in that trailer. only HALO-dudes to shoot at?
first crysis is good fun until one reaches the snow levels. double fun with the advanced AI mod. i actually played it a few days ago again.
Game looks beautiful. If you were to look at just a screen shot or just walking around with no enemies the game would look fantastic.
That said in motion everything looks so noisy/busy. There is so much going by all the particles, hyper detail of environments, explosions, lighting all kinda blurs together. I remember thinking the same thing as I played Crysis 1.
If the aliens didnt have the glowing Killzone eyes I wouldn't be able to tell where they were. Seemed to happen in Crysis 1 with the Koreans in camo and in the dense jungle so I can see why they are going with aliens with glowing red eyes. If they didnt add that you would have a hard time finding one to kill.
Game looks great but all the details blurring together seem to be a problem with a lot of hyper realisic games today. Thats why I personally think games like TF2/Halo make for better shooters as they use vibrant colors and good silhouettes.
Still 100% going to get this. Hopefully the gameplay better suits the suit ability this time as I never really found myself using it in Crysis 1 unless I forced myself to want to.
Whoever is playing through that gameplay video sucks big time :poly142:
But regardless, shit looks awesome
Despite its flaws I really liked the first Crysis, especially on delta difficulty. This one looks even better. I've been worried that it might become a bit too much like COD in terms of pacing and gameplay style, but instead it feels a LOT like Half Life 2 :poly121: Needless to say, that makes me even more pumped and I do not consider myself a fan of shooters.
Then I'll see just how badly I need to buy it on PS3 over PC haha Will probably buy it on PC when it goes cheap and I have a new comp, just for the Cryengine 3 tools.
EDIT: Nottingham only deals with the multiplayer component of Crysis 2?
Still kinda sad that it seems like the way Crysis and Warhead ended are just going to be ignored and its like, oh hey its 3 years later. And if the aliens are hear to kill people and take over earth why are there tons of humans rollin up in tanks attacking you? Seems super bizzare.
Anyway its not like Crysis is a story game and the game itself looks super slick. Very excited!

I never finished the first crysis, I kinda got bored an hour or so in but I want to finish it now so I can look forward to playing that!
The water, pause it, looks pretty crap when you do but in motion, really does look something else.
Also, awesome choice of music, same NIN song as in one of the 300 trailers.
EDIT: just checked for Kaburan, it's "Just like you imagined".
Trailer looks awesome, you deserve cookies at frankfurt!

I doubt it, they've really optimized the engine to get it to work on consoles, and so far, most of the game play has been showed on a 360

Is the sliding someone's idea from the Free Radical buy? I get visions of Timesplitters in that gameplay.
Late March!

There is an exporter available, although it dosen't support everything.
The New York backdrop kinda reminds of the movie Cloverfield, did you guys actually take inspiration from it?
