work a bit more one the statue's form bro, get a bit more anatomy practice on that looking good so far, this scene will hopefully look good by the end, but for the next one I think you should work on some more technical skills as well as artistic.
up the polys on the stars doesn't really matter too much about polycount just make it look good for the folio!
A project to fill up the school portfolio....Any ideas on the design or crits? Im not building it for games only rendering. Now only if pixologic can hurry up and send me the Email for keyshot.
Wow... first of all congrats on your determination and discipline! I'm starting to learn 3d (starting with Maya), you're an inspiration. Did you go to the military after all? or went straight to art school?
theres a wierd sort of fresnel to the sculptures and stuff, it makes the lighting hard to read and Im not sure if theres anywhere for the eye to rest or focus. perhaps its just this camera angle? otherwise I would suggest planning your lighting so that there is an area where there will be more light from the sun and have the rest of the environment lit by torches or other indoor lighting? Good work on all the models and sculpts though, youve progressed a lot in this thread!

Done with concepting this out. Time to work on other parts of the scene. Maybe ill return to it but cant waist too much time dwelling on it.

Center piece. Im planning a lot of sculpting on it.
Added a few things. Chains and buffed out the silhouette of the statue and sculpted a buff goat.
I dont think Pixologic is sending the keys over this weekend. Soooo until they do. Nice change of pace though.
The highly reflective material that you used is doing you a disservice right now, because a lot of details are being lost.
Keep it up!
Thanks man! rendered out a clay pass.

Thing for a thing because I wanted to. Different styles are cool.
