Got Zeno Clash. Even tried the demo. Very much worth it. Very inspiring art direction and fps hand to hand combat (though low par acting, given they are a Chilean developer).
Three or Four days and I still haven't purchased anything. This is outta control. Usually I make a bunch of purchases each day...
Nothing has really made me want to buy it so far... Just Dawn of War 2, but it's a bundle and a bit more than I want to pay, still. A lot of the biggest games with awesome deals are games I already own.
I'm still hoping for some awesome stuff to come on sale, so I can pick up some more games I won't have time to play.:)
anybody played gta4 on pc? for $5 it's the only thing ctaching my eye today. played about 25% on 360 but I gave up for not being able to save mid-mission.
You have to bounce the bubble around by expelling bubbles to catch the other bubbles. You can imagine you have to be carefull and rely on inertia most of the time.
I got a 2.4ghz quad + 8 gigs ram + 9800GT (with 1 gig vram (important for GTA)
I could run it pretty high, took awhile playing with the graphics options to figure out what looks the best (didn't have enough vram or it'd be too laggy)
Yep, GTA IV is a PC-killer. I don't think it's that it's badly optimized, it's that the console were crippled versions in order to coax 30fps out of them, while the PC version is running full view distances and resolutions.
GTAIV is a must-have at $5 though, great game! Finally, a GTA with a real story behind it.
Still haven't found anything I want to get yet,
I was thinking that, yeah, this sale has been kind of disappointing. There hasn't really been all that much that's caught my eye compared to the last couple sales.
Then I realized that's because I bought so damn much in the last couple sales :poly136:
gaaah ... goddammit ... the new Steam is back into its old ways of demanding i enter a 'State/Province' even though my town isn't IN one and one doesn't appear on my bank details, meaning the security check on my card fails each time. They fixed this at the back end of the old steam. GIVE ME MY CHEAP STUFF DAMN YOU!
I only got two things for myself over the whole sale. Monkey Island episodes and Borderlands. I bought a couple copies of Indigo Prophecy for friends and gifted them because it was on for $3.39.
I was surprisingly restrained this time around. I think it's probably because I don't play games very much(except for ALL DAY at work). Even when I have free time I spend it in other ways.
Paypal is fine untill Steam freezes your account for (supposedly) a single botched transaction (ie. you enter the wrong password once, or your wifi goes down in the middle of the process)
Which wouldn't be a problem if Steam's customer service wasn't pretty bad, as it generally is.
Deal of the century here for anyone that doesnt have l4d1 or 2 http://store.steampowered.com/sub/2487/
both for only $10!
plus you get all the dlc and the newest one just released a few minutes ago for free

You sure it isn't Paypal freezing your account? They love doing that.

Done and done! Can't believe I almost bought both of them at full price just two days ago - what a deal!
Yeah, a friend told me about this sale today!! I'd been on and off thinking about buying this/these games... well, both for $10, now that's an impulsive buy I couldn't pass up!!!
When i tried to buy it steam said i already owned a copy ;D Wonder when that happened, i have never played it anyway Damn steam sales you buy games that you dont even play
I dunno now. I was all set to buy it but if reviews say its very very bad I might not waste my £3.74 that i've been saving since I got my inheritance through. Thanks for stopping me from wasting all that cash. :P
*Sarcasm mode over. Works boring. I'm gonna buy it.
Really? I thought the singleplayer was fantastic, it totally caught me off guard. I played through the campaign cycling between each race between missions and it totally kept the gameplay feeling fresh and unique every level. It was awesome how the perspectives of the story completely switched between fighting off the aliens one level then playing as them completing the same tasks during the fight. I'd love to see more games take a multiple character rivalry perspective the same way.
I bought it (AVP) at retail quite awhile back. I was thinking because Rebellion had done it, and I'd loved the first one for PC they'd done, that this would be awesome. The graphics looked good, the pedigree was good.... Nope. It was pretty mediocre. I couldn't even be bothered to finish the first (marine) campaign. I've loaded it up a time or two, but only to pour over the sci-fi corridors and other well made art.
Indie game dump! Over a dozen games under $40. Sure, a bunch of wacky games at a low cost, but look closer...
What's that? Amnesia: The Dark Descent?! Mothafuckin' indie game of the year right up there with Minecraft. Don't be silly, you play this game so you have something to talk about on hot dates.
The Ball?! Who cares what you think. If you've looked at anything involving Unreal, you owe Hourences $40. Sorry, these are the rules.
But what about these other games, Chris? Well, they are probably fun too. Super Meat Boy was all over the news last year. It has to be great.

Get to buying. or not, I'm not your dad.
All of these games are also involved in the #PotatoFoolsDay ARG being run by Valve that ties in with Portal 2.

It really needs proper MP though.
Yeah it was ok, a bit too lethargic for me.

I'm running:
Intel Core 2 Duo 3ghz
Win7 64bit
4gb ram
Nvidia Gforce 9800gt
I can run Crysis on almost max and it's totally playable until the frosty-snowy-10Bazillion particles on screen at once stuff.
