Ok, the controversial Galago thread (Who will win?) made me thinking. I'll replace the cigar case with a hat and everything going to be fine and dandy!
heck yes!
every pack needs a hat.
(but release the cigar box too...I would hate for such great work to be wasted.)

Yes. Leave in the case! You can turn in more that 3 items, and it might help you out!
Hats FTW
Hey, better name for your hat is "Gendarme's Headwear" or something like that. I think it will sound better for that hat. And overall it sounds more frenchlike.
What are these hats called? I want to research them.
It looks good, My only 'complaint' is that it will looks like a big white square from the back. I'm glad you got rid of the flap, but but perhaps you should add something a band maybe?
It looks good, but it doesn't actually have a black on gold flower pattern on it like the other items. Perhaps you could combine that with the hatband idea to tie the set together.

hmmmm, dunno about religious references in TF2. :poly122:
It's a french reference. The french resistance used that as their symbol when fighting the nazis. It was carried by Joan of Arc. I'm sure someone out there knows that's St. Lorraine's cross, just like someone might look at the scottish flag and know that's St. Andrew's cross, but frankly...it's not an issue.
I just found out that Fleur de lis is a volcano gun...(played Call of Juarez again )
Gun nut moment... as a matter of fact, the term "volcano gun" refers very specifically to lever-action pistols developed by the Volcanic Repeating Arms Company between 1854 and 1860. They were considered extremely high quality, and set the standard for lever-action pistols.
The Fleur de Lis probably was made after 1860, though. Double barreled lever action is, mechanically, very very tricky.
Added gradient and small hue changes. I don't think I need to detail it, after looking at the textures of other hats, I noticed that they don't have any detail and there are no brush strokes.
"In World War II Spy was one of the french rebellions great spies, constantly bringing info from enemy battlements.he was caught only once on the job while on a mission with his friend,he was able to save his friend and his life while escapeing, thus awarding him with the prestigious french medal of honour.he would have gotten a better medal if he hadn't. Joked about not really being on his side, witch caused a code red."

I don't think the name is important on this stage, I'm not even finished with modeling, who knows how it will look finished.

Lol, "a band" http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/44329000/jpg/_44329614_trumpet_gall_pa416.jpg
It looks like these hats.
Now maybe we can call it the french connection.
Also,any progress?
You're probably right. I was just hoping to tie it into the theme more, but the black and gold work just fine.
The Legionnaire
I prefer the white personally, that was part of its charm. Are you going to try to make a flap with jiggle bones in back?
Hey take a look at this
BTW Fragus, how do you like name "Pride of the Gendarmerie"(i think these hats is like a symbol of french police)? XD

Coincidentaly did you know that gabe newell's preferate tf2 class is the spy? :poly122:
And any new media?
I wonder if he felt lucky... punk. :-)
Seemingly Recognizeable Medal of Honour?
Stolen Pride?
Frenchmans Great Honour?
Frenchmans Big Backstory?
Why the last name?its because of this:
