@eedobaba7726
I don't like the idea of the heavy punching with the billy club really, just looks odd in that shot and it really wouldn't work well in real life either.
But it could just be an accessory. Engie's got the boomerang thing and it doesn't really fit in any way whatsoever.
The donut and hat are great items though. Definitely heavy.
@eedobaba7726
Now I remember why that seems familar, Habboi did a Keystone cop pack a while back didn't he? Granted it's completely different with an old timey hat and baton, but if want to put it on Heavy use the saxxy amimations like Sharc said. It's a shame people don't remember that the classes have those, it really does make for a far wider range of appropriate melee items to be made.
blockout of Heavy laser/beam weapon.
batteries below, heatsink on side, and those two beveled parts on the barrel would move indicating spin up/down as this ought to need that information as a gameplay mechanic. spinning parts also just look cool.
edit: actually, i'm getting HL1 gauss gun/glowgun/beam gun vibes and ideas...normal fire = simple beam. alt fire = charge up ala sticky launcher for increased damage and penetration ala machina. imba? hax? probably.
@evilolive why did you rig the weap to any bone at all? Oh wait, i said it wrong... Did you use the heavy model for rigging? Those multiple bones could have been made for rigging different vertices. Example: (not accurate or true at all) the spinning barrels of the minigun might be rigged to another bone than the whole body.
You do use weapon_bone.
Your origin or rotation is probably off or something. If you are on Blender, go out of edit mode, hit 'N' and set the location and rotation to '0' and the scale to '1'
Then rig it
Hey guys, I thought I would try my hand at Modelling for TF2, and so I made this
I noticed it has no trigger or trigger guard, but I would like to try it in TF2 to see what it looks like first. Anyone have a link to where I can learn how to do it?
that baton [looks awful] isn't my favorite mate the wrap needs to be modeled into it and the handle needs to be actually modeled
Both of those seem subjective to me. Went ahead and added geometry ridges to the handle. I'll look into how many polys it would take to represent the wrapping.

Ok, then you should delete the weapon bone, the armature modifier, and the weapon_bone vertex group under object data, then import the brassbeast/tomislav (a c_model minigun basically) and the rig your model to that weapon_bone.

Love the model on that laser minigun but I do hope we see very few new laser weapons..
and I've been thinking more about a play on "scotsman's stovepipe" for the pipe but I was thinking gentleman's ______ pipe not sure what to use? want to use a word starting with "sto" but stove doesn't make sense, stone's the same and I can't think of many others googles for "sto" were a miserable fail xD
Hi guys, this is my first go at a TF2 weapon!! Im actualy not designing it for a class in the game, I'm making it for a hunter/trapper class character. Sofar I have made the huntsmans knife. Would love some crits! Thanks guys. Oh and the other items for the trapper are going to be a rifle, cleaver, bear trap, skunk hat and net so if anyone has any ideas about those that's great too
@Comfy, Nice looking hat. But I can see issues with the chin and face morphs. Check it in game before you go further. Most likely the best bet is to leave chin open. Maybe just have jaw on aech side for shape/looks, but not under shin. Plus soly has hat bone too, if you use that instead of head it will jiggle back and forth like his helmet does in animations.
@Zalack, You got me wanting to do some larvea type stuff now, lol. But I'll leave it to you.
@re.wind, Dig the lazer cannon, how about making the tip of the barrel flare out so it's got larger fins/more visible? _/=\_ kindof shaped like that, just at the tip, not hole barrel.
Hey guys im a new 3D modeller trying to teach myself. Here is a hat i just recently finished i just have to add jiggle bones then its time to submit Don't mind the poly count its actually like 450 but it says 10,000 cause the soldier is included.

The flag can be a solid plane, no need for all that geometry.

just so you know robin has been quoted that he doesn't like mixing team colors on items/hats, that means unless you paint the hat that color, there shouldn't be any blue on red team default hat and no red on blue team default hat.
Tl:dr most country flags are a no no and won't be accepted because of clashing colors
Gunny, I like em both. Sexy's is pretty damn cool and looks finished, but looks more hi-tech.
Yours is much more medieval which is great. The sights are awesome. And I like the arrow lighting idea.
If the hook is a one piece lever with the trigger I think it should be turned over though so it goes down and the string releases at the top.
The spikes might not really make much sense realistically, They might inhibit the bow bending very well. But they make it stand out, and give it a really medieval feel.
I leave it alone, finish it up.
Put a spring and jiggle bone on the flame so it bounces around a lot.

Done.

Need a donut with a bite out of it.

A baton could use those.
So...don't use weapon_bone at all?

That's a little unnecessarily harsh... why don't you take it down a notch.

Like that? That was already done though...><
Just dropping this promo here.
( Textures by NassimO )
@Sexy Robot
Should have intentionally upped the polycount by 20. :poly142:
Comments, criticisms, compliments?
Thinking of calling it the "Mesoamerican Hero":
Any suggestion about model and name?
not related to fallout 3/nv in any way. Was thinking more of Homeworld's ion cannons that lazers.

halp?
Glad someone remembers
Would it still function as a wrangler? In that case, anything similar to:
The Psychic Squid
Cephalopoidian Clicker
Macabre Marker
Detestable Designator
Cryptozoologist's Crosshair
Shouldn't that be "Policemann"?
Looks excellent though ^_^
I knew there was a word like "stoat" I think I've heard it before but I'll probably go with "Gentlemann's Stoat Pipe" thoughts?
EDIT: or maybe "Gentlemann's Stowed Pipe/Scotsmann's Stowed Pipe"
URGH
EDIT2: no the more I look at it and think about it, Stoat works better
ignore the crappy PS job, I was bored :P

yeah i was attempting to develop one didnt work to well who knows i may take another crack at it
call it the Cuauhtli Cowl
Cuauhtli is aztec for eagle and the name of the eagle warriors or the aztec empire
also for those who don't know a cowl is a type of hood

I guess be careful about how Jack Skellington-esque the topper looks unless you don't care about getting it officially in-game.

Finally got this done.
Aviator specs and stache are a misc item, the hat is a... hat.
Edit:
@Sexy Robot
Very very cool. Is that a huntsman type primary for Sniper?
Holy shit, I've been working on something pretty similar to this. You totally have me beat.
I guess it's back to the drawing board.
@Sexy Robot - what's the polycount on that one?

Too high, that's all you need to know.
Here's a map prop I'm making for a friend.
That is beautiful...
