KITE you kill me man. You nailed the pose and likeness, That is amazing.
RENAUD! that is beautiful man! if you are printing it you might want to make the feathers a bit thicker, but that's all I got man.
Hi, this is my first post here, i've been working with MAX for a long time, as a hobby, so nothing really fancy or anything
I tried my first medium, high poly model based on blizzard's upcoming Diablo 3 game, the Redknuckle Hound, I would like to take it to Zbrush or something after that ( never used Zbrush dhough )
Learnt alot more about ps painting with this one, i think you can even see a learning curve in the image, the arms being where i started, and in general, the legs where i got a bit more used to things.. (or maybe i just bothered to zoom in more? lol)
Still alot to learn... next time i'll try to avoid those skewing errors
haha, not a fan of the books really, but nice job on the character. Maybe a little too current/goth right now. I'd imagine he was a much dirtier dude with all of his camping out.
You might want to note that the right side of the character is larger than the left, and from this perspective, it looks wrong. The right arm looks very depressed and lower than it should be.
I think I'm getting better. Slowly getting better.
Helmet for a near-future soldier. Torso is next.
The renderer is doing most of the work, not me though :d. Haven't subdivided it yet. I prefer working from a mid to high to low so I can flesh it out and see what needs to be altered.
Selling my old workstation so thought I'd make a quick windows desktop from scratch so it can be phototgraphed for ebay. The wavey things are polygons :poly002:
Hey
I`m new to this forum, So first of all Helo to every one:]
This is the model I`ve been working on for some time. It`s one of my first low polys I`ve ever made. I`d like to hear what`s your opinion abou it.
best regards
The normals look wrong for at thetop of the machine, looks like a seam visible at the left and right.
Funky ATM though. Looks like it comes from a nasty part of town.
Also, the red rim around the cancel button appears cut off a bit at the bottom. Some of the features like the keypad are off center too.
ah yeah seen that now, its probably the specular map seams easily fixed, its for a mod where spirit based aliens destroy part of LA and its an LA ticket machine. Red edge can be fixed thx, Keypads annoying cause it should be in a little hole but I kept it all so low poly that I didnt add the hole, bad idea on my part.
Ged the metal looks abit weird overall. can't out my finger on it, but perhaps the scratches seem to big for the size of the machine or it could just be the slight pillow emboss which i find distracting.
not the greatest of designs, but improving slowly I feel
ruz: very clean, as always
helixx: heh, cool, like a hip-styled batarian
adamlewis: she looks fun!
More random crap I'm up to, some sort of bat-vampire sculpted from a(n apparently lopsided) cube, only to level 6 (feels good) now retopologized for further sculpting, but only sculpting; that basmesh is like 2112 tris, though it can eventually be simplified for the low. bla bla, totally not of even poly distribution everywhere, maybe some generic forms, all in the name of practice & experimentation.
not going to be finishing comicon because of siggraph so will be transferring it to the wip thread soon. Masquerade version of Allen Walker the crown clown from D-Gray man.
-Woog
Sweeeeet.
I don't recall the jester's hat on the crown clown though >_>

These are some cheesey western themed symbols I'm working on at work. Kinda fun doing stuff like this. But yeah, super cheese.

Oh, and as always Renaud, fantastic work buddy!

Not sure about cape, looks a bit rigid.

Needs more depth blur!
I can almost see the model!
=P
Seriously though, seems to be crackin. Nice work. Maybe a little less filtering though? A SMIDGE?
I'll try to tone it down next time. The filters are addicting though!

Nevertheless, sweet model.
Ruz - Looks good .
Vrav - Pretty cool but something looks weird about the ears. Specifically his right ear. I think it is the angle you put them at. Still good overall.
Another dude tonight, I think deep down he's a friendly fellow.
cheers!
