actually the baking should be pretty straightforward, my only concern being the semi transparent cloth but I think I found a solution, so...we'll see !!!
though those binder things (?) look a bit small to me, but it might be me forgetting the Asian style, but i think they should be bigger/thicker, or at least have the wavy patterns flow with them, looking at it now it 'kind of' gives a false sense of depth.
that might be nit picking though ^

anyways, update, lowpoly, 6500 tris so far, the alpha bits are modelled and ready for normalmappage, I'll just put them together afterwards.
doing the low for the book now and unwrapping all that, then I'll need to start on the spawns... should be allright tho, and within the limits. although, maps are going to take a little while to bake
very quick normal test, some smoothing errors and a few things to tweak but all in all everything's working fine so far, the alpha bits and book are ready, I just need to make a proper alphamap before linking all that stuff. I'll spend all of tomorrow rendering AO and curvature maps though, but I suppose it's worth it (and some of them are already rendered)
Is that in toolbag? Hey just make sure you're rendering from .mesh in sexnormals if it is! and add some more edges to fix up ur smoofing! and dont forget to weld your uvs sweetheart <3333
fucking cool man, nice skin tones I'd push even more the blue/purple-ish colors where bones are really sticking out, though. I like the small pattern on the belts !
The spikes on his shoulders - I'd get more definition in there where the bone extrudes out of his shoulder and gives it the point. Right now its a smooth transition. I think if it looked more like a sawed-off bulls horn that'd be slick. Right now.. it shard to see whats going on.
Wow, something normal mapped that actually looks BETTER with textures! I really like the skin, the chest and hands are pure awesome. I agree with the others about the minor stuff, but I mostly just wanted to encourage you to keep pushing this. Looks really nice.
I just saw your update and am blown away by your stuff. The translation from concept (which is stunning) to model is looking perfect. I can't wait to see i finished.
