Nice! Disgusting...but nice! The swollen gut really adds some character to this guy - I would bring out the veins on his stomach a bit more as at a distance I think they might get lost a bit - this sort of stuff might be coming in the texture though.
looks pretty rocking Vahl, but I honestly liked it way more with no eyes, it may have been done before...but that doesn't mean it doesn't look damn cool. And that's the main goal here anyways right?
yeah wow i really love the concept!!! amazing!!! your sense of colour and the subtle texturing of the character is quite nice. i also like the angled shapes your working with... it's hot!!!!

very cool work yet again, this is miles ahead from your initial sculpt, i would have those small trinket things on his wrist float around madly, make them dangle really far apart from him and perhaps make the size of those trinkets a lil larger.
btw, you can google the word " fu " and "talisman" . its an oriental talisman used to stop vampires during ancient china. they have talisman like that wrapped around vampires or on the heads of vampires, but i guess you already knew that! :P
wow! very striking concept. i really liked your entry last year, but i knew it was too bizarre to win. this year you have kept that strangeness, but added a familiarity that brings it to the next level. good luck. i'll be watching this one for sure

Vassago, Dfacto : the body will have a second pass sculpt next week so the face will get detailed enough to deserve a shot and the feet will be refined a lot, that body was just to get a better idea of the character thanks again
Next update will show the artifact (book, cube, summon, etc) got an idea I like a lot and think fits this character but I would like your input on it
that looks just as badass as the concept vahl, like the others, I agree the face area needs to be worked out. As a suggestion, I would try to make the mouth area more defined and make the guy have biting on something like the pieces that are hanging from his hat..but bigger.

Awesome detail Vahl, and I am not worried that this piece will kick some serious ass. Really love the thin cloth torn around his body, and the design is really balanced and well thought out for 3d. Can't wait to see you do this in texture, as your color study was dead on.

The only thing that bothers me are the feet and the weird spiked shoulders, but I'll reserve judgment until I see more progrss.

I keep imagining it with an evil-ass black-toothed grin showing underneath that hat. There's just something disturbing about that image.
