Did the lowpoly for this one (4700 triangles) and bake a first normal map test. Now I see the arms are looking funny... A couple of erros on the normals to fix too.
Renaud : looking great dude I'm with bobo, believable and badass is all we need
Started a model based on the famous blue tentacle-head jedi, Aayla Secura, from Star Wars Episode 2 and 3...so far I'm staying true to the concept, but the temptation to add my own twist is huge . Anyways, here's a first tiny tiny wip :

thats awesome Im a big fan of aayla secura. I can't wait for ur next update.
Renaud: realy cool stuff love the sharp look your sculpts always have
vahl: JEDIIIIII.. .. but maybe make the boots a (tiny) bit smaller.. maybe it´s realistic.. but i also don´t like it if real people wear oversized boots.. you always have to think about charlie chaplin
had time inbetween working to work on a side thingy really quick, quick QUICK sculpt of dudley, after I made the screenshots I realised his chin needs work, and of course his hair/ mustache and all that jazz but still WIP
Sef, refence. Study anatomy. Or even the SF3 sprite.
Jaw is connected wrong, neck is set too far back from the chin (it looks concave there, which isn't healthy), facial structure is random, what the hell is that extrusion under his lower lip? Could a sphere fit in those eyesockets, or anything *near* a sphere? Why is there a crease from his brow running down the side of his head?
Really, this needs work in every area. Take a more critical eye to your models -- this is a very small improvement from the last time you posted it. I'd do a paintover but it'd be more of an original drawing than an alteration of that model, to make it look right. You obviously know how to sculpt, you can do this, just work slower and make sure details are *right*, instead of just looking 'okayish maybe good enough (kinda)'.
Looking sweet so far Jackwhat. I like what you have going on in the background. Nice contrast of warm and cold colors.
I don't really understand the character though. I guess she's been walking down the stairs and there for why she is holding up the dress, but judging from the pose she looks more like she's just standing.
The placement of the legs also seems a bit strange, compared where the hips seems to be.
To me it also looks like she has really really long thighs.
Hope it help. It will be nice to see the finished piece later on.
I've been having fun doing some realistic photoshop portrait paintings (How's that for alliteration?) recently. Although, seriously, I gotta stop doing females with only the subtlest of shade variations and no lines or breaks in the face and skin...
Anyhoo, here's my latest! I ran around google image search looking for faces and saved a bunch and chose to do this one. So no, I do not know who this young lady is.
Please feel free to comment & critique.
And just to help with all nitpicking, the original:
Another one from the "Ghoul School" series I am working on. Hoping to get these guys printed out in 3D and maybe a small production run started to sell them - the sketch isnt up on my site yet but should be finished soon.
Will start a dedicated thread after this w.i.p update to stop clogging this one up!

Awesome style as always, i would like to see more of the head
@ Vitor
Looks good but maybe you should have given the head more uvw space.
@ dur23
Nice unique style, but kinda blocky and the folds would fit better if they were big and with more sense.
@ vahl
Thats a very cool character to work on, cant wait to see the head!
didnt get too far with it, but meh. straight out of Colors
Gave the little guy a coat of paint, now onto rigging!
Felt like pimping :P

Valh : Thx bro. Your new model already kickass !! Keep us updated
tacit math : very nice ! I really like the proportions
Not really an update but I just saw that Davision3D was asking for a head close up so here you are. (still wip of course)
Everyone's a fan of blue Twi`Lek Bitches :P
Renaud, personally I don't care for accurate anatomy so long as it looks feasible enough or downright awesome. This checks both boxes

I'd love to see a low poly for him even if it doesn't fit within the 7k budget.
Renaud, I majorly dig the style of your sculpts, man.
I might actually end up building a scene around it.
Need to do some minor tweaks from here, Does this fit that street fighter 4 style?

The neck is ridiculous, what is that thin, squared muscle running from the ear to his front? Reference! http://facstaff.gpc.edu/~jaliff/neckmusc.gif

with basic light setup

quick sculpt :
Mezz, I think you made her a bit more bucktoothed than the original, you should fill out her bottom lip a little more perhaps?
>^..^<
you getting pretty good at digi painting. the hair is done really well. keep up the good work.
