Jaco: All I could think was, "Waaasssssupppp!!!" Looks cool though. I'm not sure what that stuff is under his jaw though. Is it the extra skin from the lack of a jaw bone?
carrots... reminds me of "shoot em up"
lovely work guys.
have experimented with a oldschool spectrumize shader with a model by Zet, and also applied it as fullscreen post fx to the Sparc luxinia sample game.
The original shader wasnt by me, but I optimized it down from 100+ instructions to 36 or so. I want to further change it to use more colors again, but keeping the "dither" effect.
the model scene is part of a tutorial on shaders/fullscreen effects I will release with the next luxinia version. And shows how different specular/glow stuff could be done for model instances. The tutorials will not feature this effect but look "normal"
for the game one would need to turn the background down for less noise. And more contrast/color intense textures for the spaceships

what's this book all about?

It's a mix up between SAW, Pinnochio and Dr Kawashimas brain training. It was meant to be for children...
Cheers Ruz & East, I've never messed with its perspective. I thought you had to use the morph/deformation panels for that and I've been having a nasty time with it's fake perspective modifiers...
Tried calling it all in to 3DS max but the times were just ineffective. Incredibly long .obj import times, slow screen rate... it fails in comparison to zbrush and even blender.
Bones - dude, thats like those old GoW screens they released! Same setup?
and tinman: amazing. nothing else to say
GoSsS - Thats looking good. I allways liked Fengs work, and it looks like you have really translated his piece very well so far. One thing though, it looks a little dark. Maybe add some small lights in areas to show off that detail =P
GoSsS the level looks awesome. the parts without red light look a little bland. maybe play around a bit with complementary light color. also the ornaments could be more visible. great work.
Cojax, the basic shapes are very uninteresting right now you have basic shapes with really uninteresting bevels and some really small filigree that will barely get noticed once you bake , maybe adding some damage in mudbox since that rock isnt polished clean has alot of imperfections ehhehe. Still looking good man.
Was trying to get this done before dom war 3 but with my 2 week old daughter taking up most of my time I just couldn't quite find time to do it. I'll probably finish him off after dom wars is over.
5380 Tris so far and more to come with hair and some other bits of clothing still needing to be modeled. I am aiming for 5500 when done with 500 of that being for removeable items of clothing. I have a lot of optimising I can do once all the other bits are modeled.
ex-gf is wanting to pick up some wip painting stuff she was working on.. that she left at my place. I was all pumped up for the dom war today i decided to spill some blood early.
Holiday weekend in Ontario woot. Decided to try something new. Not too sure what I'm gonna do with this. I'd like to use this as a high poly to bake into a low poly set piece, but its not the most efficient built model, it has some bad sided polys that would need to be fixed.
But its almost done, just adding some extra surface detailing at this point. I have to add some panels, rivets, latches etc. I'm not going to go into the full detail of the swingarm gears, but there are some pistons and the main gear which are important for the look.
It's a SA-2 Guidline SAM launcher. Built by the Russians in the 50's. It saw use in Nam and the cold war etc. reference

You've given me a few ideas to help push my Hades re-design model. Thanks, mate.

little lacking in detail too ie broad panels with nothing breaking them up.
Cojax - i like the silver door very clean looking.
