Still no news on the theme and looks like we'll have to wait until mid January for it. At least the timer is a good indication when it will begin.

it had been doing down hill for a couple years, and the entire forum was centered around the monthly comps, but recently, people stopped even doing those.
Frankly, the exodus was caused by most people getting jobs. We didnt use the forum for social stuff like here, only comps, so when people got work and didnt need new portfolio pieces, the comps died, and so did the forum
hmm interesting, bbs.hxsd.com.cn is the largest forum in the war, but I dont understand the question mark language. could someone point us to their art?
Anyway, we should probably choose a Dominaince War thread and run with it. Theres not really much point having two concurrent ones.
i don't have a feel, that they will rape us in gameart compo.

ninjas and i now sit across from each other at work. i don't know about him, but i'm set on punching out harder than either of the first two years for concepts and possibly for encouragement, too

YEARS before DWI, this war happened... and caused the elimination of many factions [thats why theres so many boards]
or DWII resulted in an apocalypse, leading to loss of technology, and rise of a tribal system... each 'tribe' [forum] fightin to rule the harsh world they are in, using "primitive" weapons, and magic...

In my case, I know that 99% of these people know more than I do, so I'll take whatever CONSTRUCTIVE criticism I can get.

This means know your stuff, have an opinion and be able to argue it.
Don't take crap from forum trolls, and be brutally honest when people ask for critique.. or even if they don't. If its posted here, its asking to get it ripped apart.

- If you want idle praise print your crap out and hang it on moms fridge. Moms are notorious for loving every bit of crappy artwork their children manage to vomit out.

1. act like a 12 year old and post your favorite interweb fad of the month pics in every single thread, not just the "i am a dumb 12 year old" thread made just for such dumb things as..dancing babies, dancing jesus, dancing baby jesus chuck norris, l33tastic speaking, kittens speaking l33tastic lolerz, or anything else found on something awful that is indeed something awful, or any run of the mill middle schooler would find absolutely hilarious.
2. be a total noob, but critique pros as if they had never made a game model in their life. example "looks cool and all but i would make the toenail up where the head is not down there on the foot, you cant see it where its at now" or " looks like person, but not a super model or fantasy warrior, make it look more like a super model or fantasy warrior pleeze.... or you could make it look more like a space marine, those are cool too"
3.hate everything, even each other, especially each other.
4. Its all fine and good for 2 people to have a disagreement but its strongly advisable for everyone and their mom get involved, start crying like little girls and taking sides until its all vs one and eventually post pictures from rule 1 until the thread is closed.
5.cry like little girls whenever possible, and when the tears are all gone get some rest so you can make new tears and cry more tomorrow.
this dom war should be fun, since whatever team i am on seems to win no matter if i finish or not, i have not decided who i am going to bless with the winners crown this year.
