C'mon guys, size your shots down to 1500 at the largest dimension max. Especially stuff like this ^ where there is no detail gained from the extra resolution. Size it down and sharpen it a little, it will look like it has even more resolution.
Like so, simple resize: unsharp mask. Same impact, except I can actually see it on my 24" screen.
(AlexCatMasterSupreme: not intending to offend you or anything, there just isn't any reason to post super huge files that nobody has a monitor big enough to view. Nice shot btw)
If you want to post links to super high res panorama that is fine, just don't load them directly in the thread.

Oh man, I totally didn't think about it when I posted it, I apologize.
I just got my first DSLR camera (T3i) right before I went to Europe for the first time during the month of Oct. Love the camera and absolutely loved Europe, best solo trip of my life:D
Welcome to the world of photography Autocon. If you're not careful, it can become quite the expensive hobby
Ha it seems like it can be, really enjoying it. Already looking into getting a tripod that is light enough but stable enough to travel around with. And all those lenses!
Hey guys, thought I'd share, this was taken a while back but i haven't had a chance to take it of my memory card. It was taken sometime in August, the spider was on the other side of my window and had caught a wasp. Here a video as well [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EmFsY-C7teU"]Garden Spider Devours Wasp - YouTube[/ame]
Here is a self portrait I shot the other day in a studio. Based off Jill Greenbergs work. Specifically her early work for Dexter. It's obviously been retouched like crazy. But that was the style I was shooting for so I went for it.
Thanks Andreas and Talbot, I have few more of the collection which i can post up on my profile if anyone is interested.
Andreas - had a look at your site as well, can't believe the architecture out there. Its amazing.
Talbot - definitely hit the spot with the style, (on a personal note) i think a tiny spec of blood somewhere mite be a nice homage to our favourite serial killer.
Prophecies - The night snow image is great, where abouts was it taken?
Side note; big thanks to ben mathis for starting a thread like this, all the work on here is getting me more inspired with photography.

Thanks, yeah, I know. I was keeping it to the ratio of the original, but I may break from that to crop them out. I prefer to keep my crops to standard dimensions if possible. I agree though, I think it would help the image out.

Talbot I'd go easier on the side lights next time, they're very strong in that image.

It's actually supposed to be blown out. Like I said I was going off Jill Greenbergs style.

You know I really wanted to do that. But I made a short film about a serial killer last semester... and I don't really want that to turn into "my thing". I had problems enough with people thinking I was weird after making that video.

Nice photo dude, but the left part should really be cropped. Those two blured persons add nothing to the picture.
