nothin amazing, but took some cool shots of butterflies @ butterfly world in Ft. Lauderdale a month or two ago! just getting around to processing them now. First time ive tried taking actual photos instead of high res texture reference! fun stuff!!
Umbanda ritual I've been to yesterday. Trying out my new 35mm f1.8 lens for the first time
People were dancing in a trance and I was right in the middle of the mosh pit trying to get some good pictures. Didn't knew how crazy small the DOF on 1.8 was.
thanks Jordan I'm having a lot of fun with Canon's DPP experimenting with different recipes and effects
took this shot few hours ago, i love that several highways run straight through Seattle's downtown, allowing for many opportunities to create interesting compositions with the light streaks of the cars
Here's one I took this morning, I'm using this as my desktop background at the moment. Click on the image for 1680x1050 resolution, flipped horizontally since default icon position is top left
Eraser, what sort of post processing are you doing on those shots?
I do most of the post work in DPP; adjusting the color channels, contrast/brightness, and shot settings. I do a few tweaks in Photoshop too but the vast majority is done in DPP. I'm still experimenting with different effects, so my post work is rather heavy handed; figured it's best to hit the extremes in such circumstances so then the middle ground will take care of itself.
First batch of my shots with the newly acquired 20D. I have many more but they are on my laptop, and I cba to get them now.
this one I post processed a little - increased contrast and saturation a tad.
And now, the fun stuff. The pics aren't that great, mostly because either the ISO was too high or because my hands were shaking - lack of expertise in shooting in indoor locations basically. I present you, the Newark evac piece of shit:
I really wish I had a fisheye for the crowd shots.
Well I'm humbled by most of the photos in here but I snapped this one over my Christmas vacation and found the water to be pretty interesting (taken in Mendocino CA).

Here are some of my favorites.
All with a Nifty 50mm prime on a Canon XTi.
Hopefully I'll have some new ones shortly, planning on heading out to see what I can get.

Taken from my first walk with my dads camera out in the cold.
One of the first pictures I've ever taken with a DSLR, done with a Nikon D70.
