Here, Country town In Canada-Quebec. its actually right in my backyard. yay
We caught 8 beavers and 2 otters in the river, the beavers were around 65lbs each that is huge!
i poke one of them, its fat and soft. We had to catch the beavers, they destroy all the trees and their dam is making the river to high..
The 2 otters were war casualities, they got caught in the trapper traps... But i hear theses beast are quite wild and can kill a normal size dog. who knew!. The trapper destroyed the dam too.. But never fear, I found tracks higher up in the mountain, Beavers and otters tracks. so some still live.!
You should turn off autofocus if your goal was to get the skyline. Interesting shot for background to the branches, which is obviously what the camera focused on, but I'm assuming you wanted the fire sky
I actually was trying to get it to focus on the branches, the the background colour being more just a blurry overall look... but getting it to focus on the backgroud could be a good idea too.
I'm just getting used to my new baby (Sony Cybershot DSC-H10) so gotta figure out how everything works the best!
I mean, cause I like the look of the texture in that pic... and I have 3D art on the mind... so... is anyone following?
It was pretty late when I posted that, ok
Rens, great use of DoF man. The only thing I see that looks out of place is the thin horizontal twig just underneath the Y split that the bird is resting on, but that's just an angle adjustment. Not sure why you said 'lame, fail, try again'
The fake DOF in that stadium shot is really strange monstro. You're trying to pull attention away from it and to the pitch itself, but it's still the higest contrast part of the photo (and, I imagine, far more visually interesting than a bunch of footballers on a field) so your eye gets drawn there, blurry or not.
sorry about that i just liked the effect (and wanted to draw attention to the players). these are my first sets of pics, i'm a noob. I've no actual experience in photography whatsoever, but am armed with a little dsc-h10. hehe.
