Yeah, I tend to read stuff with alot of salt in my mouth, because lets face it, the internet is full of myths and lies.
However, this is honestly weird...I mean the guy contributed so much and died a lonely death as a virgin, and someone else took all the credit, amputated a person and almost blinded themselves.
I remember they gave the earthquake machine a test on Mythbusters and managed to find the harmonic resonance of a massive bridge that they'd attached their 1kg machine to and got the whole thing vibrating, showing in their typical not very well researched or tested fashion, that Tesla's concept was theoretically sound.
I'm pretty sure they busted the actual earthquake machine using the equipment he would have had. The bridge was just to show the mechanism in action wasn't it? (nothing at all happened in the building they tried to replicate it with)

I don't doubt that the whole thing about an entire neighborhood having to keep shit from falling off the shelves thing was probably exaggerated, but I also don't doubt Tesla's resonator thing could have caused some noticeable shit. That mythbusters thing was still pretty rad hooking it up to the bridge, hundreds of feet away still feeling like a huge semi was driving by? That's nothing to scoff at.
And this is keeping in mind that they're the guys from Mythbusters trying to imitate Tesla...not the genius himself.
~jacka111 hour ago New member I just got started in the ripping art from games scene and people won't accept me as a legitimate artist. You seem to have had some success in this area. I wondered whether you had any tips for a newbie just finding his feet.
Neil is awesome! as an artist is so reassuring to hear people like him talk. Even when he is a writer i relate to a lot of his points of view, and after watching this i feel like i know my work a little better. That is cool.
