My contribution (posted just earlier in the sketch thread):
He is Bo Diddly (named after the musician). I'm excited to see new takes on him... maybe even a model (as I have not started to learn/teach myself modelling yet).
Yay, SHEPEIRO put my dude's rat tail onto the lion thing... or maybe not. Even so, I will continue turning it into Bo Diddly... (go easy on me, I don't really have any experience painting in photoshop)
cep > gauss > SHEPEIRO > Toxxys
(added hooves, extended snout, cut down hair, dulled his fur)
Now if i get time, i can hack up one of you's guy's work!
And BTW: looking thru all the crap i had on my ftp to get this image was a real boost to my ego. Jesus is there a bunch of worthless stuff on there. Sadly, I haven't gotten better! lol.
Completely agree with you Shepeiro. Was thinking to myself how i could make it different, but some part told me i dun wanna.. which you pinpointed right there. Stop being skillzord, ppl!
Though it does remind me of mindflayers, which i've been thinking of drawing for a while now.. >_>
Sectaurs and Comrade are both right. Concept tags never have a stopping point, they're not a linear progression from start to a finish point. While it's true that many pieces get more finished as they move along, they can be broken down or reconfigured just as easily. It's to keep things playful, keep things fluid!
Made this instead of packing. I like trying new things so I tried 2d-3d concepts. If i wasn't leaving to victoria for a week I would do a good job but It's the idea that counts.
I'll be back to polycount in a week.

Thanks man. No small part to this thread. Something about ruining someone elses art makes you want to not suck

And don't be shy, guys. its not about perfecting a picture, its just about putting your spin on an idea; having fun with it and practicing painting.
on that note, time for some more skull-car!
