lol
taking the slow route, eh?
Everything looks great, but it's oh-so-delicate. I wonna see your m4d texture skilzz at teh work! come on! enough of this gay faggety fur bullshit, put some saliva and shit!
Here is something cooking tonight on low fire,
A texture tutorial I'm doing for friends wanting to learn the tools of the trade,
so this isn't exactly a real skin.
But if it doesn't suck too bad at the end I might post it. Any takers so far?

non descript head .nothing special but I like it anyway

Ruz: Great start... but be careful where you place the iris of the eyes. He's looking very wall-eyed at the moment (too much white on the insides of the eyes). I did a little paintover that I kind of got into.
Hey everyone, here's what I made after my first day with Zbrush, crits are welcome! I guess I spent about 5 hours on it or so.
(and yes, he isn't supposed to have eyebrows yet )
Is there anyone that could help me with exporting the normal maps and displacement maps from Zbrush? Whenever I try it either just makes a gray texture or it does nothing as far as I can tell. I was going to follow Poop's tutorial using Max, but I don't have enough memory to import the high-poly of my head model into Max. Thanks!
/EDIT
Got it dumped into Melody, here it is with a 2048 map on my "low poly" head (~8000 tris)

I think your crits are very legitimate, but on the other hand I think this is a great example for the average being uninteresting. Your paintover has very good proportions and straight eyes, but his original model is way more interesting in my opinion and still within the border that I would call believable. It has it's own distinct character.
Here's another head I'm starting on whilst waiting on some shader stuff to get worked out:
Trying to make him a little younger-looking than my first one. This is about 1 hour of work, no details added yet or anything, just working on the shape. Started off with the same base mesh for the head as the last one. Crits!
Haha, awesome Johny. Face looks very accurate. The hands might need some work though, shape doesn't seem quite right. Also the arms may be a little thick?
Just messing around in ZBrush. This is pretty much the first time I've messed around with ZB's renderer and colour painting things, the colour map is literally 2 minutes of messing around, I still don't even know where the colour picker tool is.
And ZB doesn't seem to undo texture paint changes in the 3D view, only in Projection Master.

I couldn't figure out how to draw into the actual diffuse texture, so there's no colors other than the base shader texture.
P.S - no im not crazy.
Looks good, though
I wish I had more time to practice
(I think it slaps things a lot with its giant slappy hands)
almost done... magic bullets... that float. any crits? im trying to build up a portfolio for texture artist position.

actually it is!
Some major tweaks needed, but nearly there.

not yet done obviously, parrot is getting a rework (mop made it obvious to me I'm not getting away with it's low polycount )
gloves are getting replace in favor of thick leather wristbands with goldstuf.
anyway forgot to pimp this here...*goes back to hole*
equinoxx: whats it for? Hope its going into an engine somewhere

Mop: very realistic head and alot of "carisma"
