@antonny08 for the second clip: I think the hips should rotate more, for starters, they feel stiff right now. Like when a leg is extending behind the character, when the foot is just pushing off the ground the hips should rotation around the y axis should be exaggerated more. The Arms feel stiff as well, The arms should extend a little when behind the character, and pull in a little when at the apex in front of the character. I will put together something visual to help.

part of anim test I did recently. Been under review for a couple weeks by now so I doubt it's moving forward at this point. I still like the animation so I figured I'd share it this way. no NDA was signed so this should be cool. Will probably cut this into the reel at some point.
Great stuff Hito. Love the axe attack. Great arcs and timing.
The only changes I would make (just personally to me and may not match the style you are going for) would be to bring her left leg forward and up into the jump as she launches, it seems to over stretch a little at the moment. I'd also have her axes lower as she brings them forwards with a big arc up into the jump so shes using the weight of the axes more to lift herself up.

You are definitely right. The spin and up part was intended to be a diagonal upward strike, but it doesn't seem to read well at all. A more straight up arc with the axes dipping lower would be the better choice. I'll revisit it asap.
Hey guys, trying to get back into animating more regularly. Forcing myself to get involved with great forums like this more often too! Just finished this quadruped run cycle. Would love some feedback!
Overall it needs a bit more up and down motion. Also, make sure you get a completely straight leg as he kicks off and pushes himself forward. Focus on that idea of each leg pushing him into the air, only to fall with gravity back toward the earth and catch himself again. Make it more explosive.
Hi everyone I am new here. I usually animating character acting mroe than action , but recently, I am inspired by one of my mentor , and created this piece. I would like to share this here with you all. Hope you all enjoy it.
@aesir
oh man, I've been trying to get my foot in 2D/traditionnal animation for a few months. Still never got the otivation to take a pen and put myself at it. Clean work bro! What do you use to ink and color those? @pepsitsui
Nice animation though I went on your site to see the loop and I think it could be smoother for your next animation. FOr stephn Vyas's work you never know when the loop start or when it ends and that's really part of the beauty of it.
@jlahham Nice work bro. I like your reel too! Working on Meatballs must have been a lot of fun!!
@Blond thanks man! I've been using a mix of Adobe animate and photoshop. I also use 3d mockups to help me animate and then try to improve upon what I did in 3d. I still haven't figured out the best way to color and ink. I keep switching between programs. I can get much cleaner lines in photoshop, but obviously it's animation functionality sucks.
Anime studios in asia (who the US also outsources all their cleanup to) still scan paper drawings and then ink in photoshop. It's more time consuming though.
I just try to avoid vector at all costs... I am not the norm.
Boy, seeing everyone's work in this thread has been keeping me inspired and motivated to keep practicing. I just recently finished my 30 second short that I've been working on for awhile now.

http://https//www.youtube.com/watch?v=filSEGMGbd8 - same here, take this one with a grain of salt because it's about heel striking vs forefoot striking when some one is running.
I hope this helps.

I'm not great yet...
Body mechanics shot I worked on during my lunch hours, looking forward to adding in the secondary.

Here's a little sneak peek of my final project at Uni.
This shot took me a while but I think it gives a pretty nice result.
A short with over a hundreds of shots.
Can't wait to show you the final rendered/comped result!
