Jetpack Man, tried a couple of new workflows with this version of the character, found Xnormals much handier to use for baking Occlusion and Normals, and also tried out Substance Painter, love the program, really helps speed up the texture painting process... if only my computer wouldnt freeze when i tried using brushs that effect hieght channels.

WarrenM - I love the little scene you've made. How many items are you planning for your kit?
Fozwroth - Man, you are killing it with that forest. It's seriously impressive and checking out the thread has some cool techniques for your vert blending. I like it.
The young Jedi Master, base on amazing concept by Marco Teixeira https://www.artstation.com/artwork/qkKn , when i saw it i fell in love with it and really i couldnt help myself anymore so i just made a bust out of it !!
WarrenM: Awesome, would really like to see some game using this style galaxybeaver: This is great, like the more bulky'ish version. Lonewolf: Stop posting photos. Nevermind this is fucking insane...
curent status of my "modulisation" of the assault rifle:
The "waffel" magazine is just a quick test to see if I can create different mags by only using normal maps (and something went totally wrong there^^)
Superb work around here guys, but posting images over 3000 pixels... Really? We are not that much to have super fast internet or 4k screens. It makes the whole thing VERY slow to load, and frankly there's no point presenting something on such a big picture, even on a 4k screen. If you think you have some detailed part that should be seen closely, do a close up shot on a 1920/2000 file.
At the very least keep the huge files to your threads. This one is a common one, and by discouraging people to wait for every images to load, some other works wont be seen by us even if they has been showed on decently sized images.

well said! spamming super-mega-über highres images makes you look unprofessional and lazy IMHO. I mean if you can sculpt/model/create an amazing object, how hard can it be to resize/crop an image? web safe images for the win!

Agreed ! Besides, stop using PNG format guys, a jpeg does the trick perfectly
Hi, I do models and textures of stuff. Usually guns... Actually, always guns.
It's specifically made to replace the HL2 / Black mesa 357, while keeping true to the original I've given myself some artistic freedom, basing it on the colt anaconda, king cobra and the python.
I'm also using this to improve my modeling skills so there are no floaters or any cheating on the geometry even though that would take less time.
hey guys Im back with more renders of my low poly rocks n MT2! hope you like them!
let me know what you think!

My Substance Designer Contest entry for the Fantasy category should be up in Substance Share pretty soon, here is some iray goodness!
There is an emissive map in there as well, it makes the marble vein glow.
The material is loosely inspired by Skyrim's Dwarven architecture.

So I've been spending a couple of days on this piece here, done in Unreal Engine 4 using assets from Infinity Blade.
Here is the WIP thread - http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=159236
I want to add more to the scene in terms of the other side
Anyways..
Another texture update. Still working on better edge wear / more dirt.
