Nice. Pharah reminds me a LOT of a rocket jump soli (using the parachute), but without the steep learning curve to rocket jumping. Even has a pocket medic for most of the match. I'll be very interested in playing her.
Seems to be a meat game minus the meat, thus it would be some sort of tofu.
Most interesting indeed, albeit this doesn't seem to be the "style" of the Dairy Queen dudes.
Correct me if I am wrong, don't they primarily produce woodland games filled with characters with huge hands and feet?
This honestly seems as though it would be a project for Disney or Dreamworks; a family friendly shooter. I am intrigued on how this one will play out.

Realized that I totally forgot to update this thread with Lucio, Numbani and Volskaya Industrie (a character + 2 maps we revealed @ GamesCon this month)
I wish technology was at a point where we could have team based games like this but with art this gorgeous in open worlds so large that I might not get my first kill( or be killed ) for up to 2 or 3 days.
( mebbe with a bit of minecraft/fortnite thrown in where a team could build defenses for weeks in preparation )
Where I could wander and be able to appreciate all this gorgeous art work instead of feeling senile in a claustrophobic map tuned for bangity bangity yer dead twitch play. Where 12 year olds r pwning me every time I turn my head.
Was watching the various streams of this today and just wanted to bump this and say awesome job you guys (I know a few of you Blizz Artists post here)!
The Environments & Characters are so lush. Hope everything continues to go smoothly
Got a chance to play at a co-workers desk today. Really fantastic overall. I love the verticality and the differences in movement between characters. No complaints at all.
My only concern is how monitization will be handled. However, nothing has been said yet so only time will tell.
Always like the art that comes out of blizzard. Game looks good and have a few mates that are itching for it. never did get in beta so will give it a try when its released.
Been watching Ster_ playing it with Jerma. Looks awesome and its good to know that hardcore TF2 players are loving it. Basically means I'll love it as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JrpOcv-xfPY Dunno how to embed on these new fangled boards!
been playing it over the last two days. it's way more fun than I expected. I'm honestly not sure what I expected, but it wasn't TF2. Instead I got a game that's super similar to TF2 but expands on it in lots of ways. I love it.
Yeah... Not really in to pre purchasing but watching Blizzcon and all the streamers playing the Beta I just couldnt resist. Had to get Origins edition. Can't fecking wait for this game man! Love the variety of characters.
I've been playing this Weekend due to the Stress Test. The game is so beautiful that I could almost cry ^^ I haven't played more that a couple of games because I've just been running around taking screenshots and drooling over how good everything looks. The lighting is out of this world aswell. I'm looking forward to the breakdowns of stuff. I wish we had more breakdown and processes of lighting artists on here
Looks great, feels great, super stoked for when it comes out or I get a permanent beta key!
Been playing this weekend and enjoying it as well. One of things that frustrated me is that some heroes when doubled (or in some cases tripled on a team make it almost impossible to advance, I had three Bastions and a Tjorborn defend one of the capture points on Honamura and we couldn't advance to save our lives. Anyone who walked through the gate was instantly gunned down. Other than some balance issues, it's been really fun.

you just need the right counters, a tracer, a reaper, anyone who can change position without being attackable can get behind bastion in no time. also good luck fighting a bunch of junkrats spamming grenades ^^

Yeah usually when there is one it's not too bad, but in this case they had so many that is made it hard to get around them from different angles. You'd make it past one only to realize that another bastion was behind a pillar and covering the first Bastion's blind spot. It didn't happen that often, but it made it really tough to get anywhere close.
Game looks great, gameplay seems to be amazing, but I am wondering about their payment system at this point.
It is clear, that they're going to release new "heroes" from time to time, and what then, pay with $$$$ or some in-game coin stuff ? I can't really imagine throwing a 50$ to buy a game and then pay for more heroes. I hoped that they'll go for F2P + Microtransactions (like Heroes of the Storm), as it worked out for them really well.
Personally, I think they will be releasing more characters at some point, but possibly not many and it probably wont be for a while. They mentioned at Blizzcon that they tried more characters than the 21 they have and many felt the same as others, so they cut them. Maybe they'll develop new ones with better variety but I think most post launch stuff will be maps, skins and gamemodes.
However as the game focuses HEAVILY on team composition, having people on your team that haven't bought DLC and dont have "new" characters possibly wont be able to counter effectively and your team will suffer. So I believe everyone should be on a level playing field in that respect and have access to all characters without having to buy them.
anyway. To all you guys who got Beta access... I hate you...

Ha. Yeah well, it is short lived I think. From what I understand I only got Beta access for the weekend (which all you do to get into beta is make sure your account is flagged for it under battle.net.) Got to play at when the kiddo went to bed and it was pretty great. The environments are really beautiful and the map design is well done. I never felt lost moving around the map. That being said I am almost happy I was only in it for the weekend because I have other games to play right now and if I had full access I'm pretty sure Overwatch would take up almost all of my time.
Chiming in to say I love the shit out of this game(played in the extended closed beta) and I'm getting the shakes waiting for the 24th. It's beautiful, of course, but the game play is also slick and satisfying. I was a huge TF2 addict and competitive player and this is definitely the game I've been looking for for a long time.
Also, kudos to whoever put greentooth on Roadhog's vest, that was pretty rad to stumble upon.
Yup. Finally got to play it in early access beta. Absolutely loved it and can't wait for its release. I do hope we see a few more game mode in future but the current modes will keep me going for a good few hundred hours.
The video shorts are absolutely gorgeous and I love the lore they are creating with the game. I'd love to see a full blown movie some day.
