Here's what I got done today. A cocktail sandwhich maker. Imagined it would be much like a soda vending machine on the street only that this thing could potentially catch fire.
Gonna go for wildstar texturing style this time , they have some really fun props.
And I didn't forget about the sword I just can't decide which one coud have multiple uses for textures.
Alright it's a cupcake maker. Couldn't find any sandwiches in the Wildstar concepts so I redrew a cupcake from a concept , which I now feel really paranoid and guilty about doing.
Still quite rough.
Edit: I'm gonna remove the cupcake , I feel like a criminal. Gonna redo a different cupcake. Also not feeling the cupcake on the main-screen.
Off to the next thing. I think I'll revisit the old character I started in this thread a while ago... Make him 4k with 1k Texture and handpaint it as well. This time the challenge is to get some clean bakes. Yay.
Scratch that.
I'm gonna make the sword. The character I retopo'd and then got bored. It felt like I was forcing myself to make him. So I stopped with that and started racking my brain of what sword I wanted.
Update. Did a little bit of work on this.
Everything still needs work but I like the design so the process of texturing is gonna go a lot faster than the previous times. Think I'm getting the hang of this slowly.
EDIT:
Turns out the design is so impractical that I'm gonna parody myself. By adding a note from the Orcs of Blackrock.
Gonna retopo and texture the beach girl from page 1.
I think I need a break , I'm way too inconsistent with my decisions lately. Got really frustrated today.
The sword I'm gonna put aside for now.
Both WIP
EDIT:
Quick bake of textures with errors ( Like always) Since I can't get a clean bake even if my life depended on it. Even with a cage.
Unity is so icky.
Unreal Engine doesn't want to start up
I'll stick with Marmoset.
Started texturing so this update doesn't seem so lackluster. ( They're still really rough )
I've bitten off more than I could chew on that big scene , made me really frustrated and doubt myself and what I do and everything.
I'm starting to grow really lazy with this scene so I started something new on the side whilst I lazy around with that scene until I get my motivation up again.
Finished the window ( Relatively ) and the scene is starting to feel a bit more fleshed out. Still got a few props to go + the wall + refinement ( or throwing the floor texture into the bin )
Also started on the retopo of the dudes body , the hair i'm still working on but the body I'm happy with hence it's soon a low poly.
Nice character ! It's a bit odd that the color of his eyebrows don't match with the color of the beard : it looks like he wear a fake beard...that's funny though ! did you planned it?
It's part of the concept by Max Grecke but since you mentioned it I double checked the colour and turned it up a bit from black , but I'm gonna stick to the colours on the concept.
Really derped hard on the UV's of the table.
Not really a lot lost , should make it better now anyway.
Cool character man. I like the presentation. Maybe you could work on the pose of his left hand a little though? It looks a little odd, had to figure out that it's resting on the weapon. Maybe with more of a bend in his wrist it will feel more natural.
Fixed the hand , thanks for pointing it out man. Fixed the arm as well.
I derped really hard on this one , no matter how meticulous I tried to be with the details , I've botched the shoulder , by a lot. I've made it way too broad and I messed up the hands as well which is why , they look like they look now.
I was really happy working on him but now I feel absolute dread. Time to do something new.
Gonna make a character again.
Last one was quite a personal success ( It's so minor but I still can't believe it ended up in 'Trending' on Arstation :O )
Was also really unmotivated making the tree-stump...I guess I've been making too much wooden things. Anyway.
Concept by Jordan Kerbow.
Getting the curves down , haven't really touched the face yet.
Had a lot of problems with Zbrush today.
It kept saying 'Subdividing Geometry' even though I didn't and it make everything really sluggish.
Started on a bloodbourne inspired axe. Gonna handpaint it and all that fun stuff until I get the zbrush shit working and then tackle the rest of the armor and everythign that sucks on the character.

Haha thanks man ^^ I'm glad you like it.

Trying to get the wildstar vibe , so far it's failing imo :poly122:

Cupcake.
Can't get the metal to look like metal. Gah.
I'm happy with it the colours now. I'm gonna start blending everything and adding some details and then eventually call it done.

Gonna be a Blackrock Foundry sword in WoW

EDIT:
It's so bad. WhatamIdoing.
Pretty pissed off at myself with the quality of work lately.
Anyways
Props props props
Everything that's green is UV'd
At least I can reuse the props.
Unreal Engine doesn't want to start up
I'll stick with Marmoset.

Still blockout textures , just wanna fill the scene with something so I can improvise on that.
Concept is by Max Grecke
Prop , still WIP
Gonna have to fix up the hair now and make tweaks.
Anyway updates updates.
Next prop gonna be the closet.
I'll probably get back to the chair , not 100% yet.
Hoping to finish this tonight.

Aiming for 4-5k tris and 1k texture.

And the tableu.
Had a lot of distractions today so I didn't get too much done.
Evening Update:
Marmoset Render. Forgot to export the new texture...
haaaa.
Now I am le tire.
I'm so excited about this right now.
I still have to add the sword.
Little thingies in the background.
The lightning and yeah!
SOOOOOON
The environment I'm gonna be lazy about , probably not show the UV's at all.
Nother evenig update:
Texture for sworrd , redoing the environment , alphas everywhere.
That's the plan.
I derped really hard on this one , no matter how meticulous I tried to be with the details , I've botched the shoulder , by a lot. I've made it way too broad and I messed up the hands as well which is why , they look like they look now.

Gonna make a diorama again , those are fun. And the form of the tree stump is quite hard , at least for me so I'm gonna challenge myself.
Incredibly wiperonie.
Also gonna try to integrate zbrush more into the environments/props.
UPDATE:
I'm gonna scrap the tree-stump.
Not enjoying the process at all.

Update:
Removed the armor , have to nail down the body and face first. Already had trouble with the armor as well.
I've tried modelling it in maya or zbrush it I just...can't get the shapes right. Making me really frustrated. So I keep throwing them away.
Argh...
It kept saying 'Subdividing Geometry' even though I didn't and it make everything really sluggish.

The woman I kinda abandoned since for now , might come back to later.
