No Nintendo announcements until Tuesday I think. But I look forward to seeing some more info on Sunset Overdrive! That game looks pretty interesting so far.
cant wait for you guys to see FC4, I saw what they were showing the other day, pretty sweeeeet. *toots own horn* also, super stoked to see battlefront and hopefully the other sw game visceral is working on. and uncharted. and everything else.
I'm really looking forward to Nintendo's announcements (tomorrow I think). There is a lot of incredible software just waiting to be shown off from them, and as a new 3DS owner I can also finally look forward to their handheld announcements.
I'm also looking forward to hearing about Mirror's Edge 2 and The Division.
I don't particularly care about any of the announcements. Press releases these days don't carry the same kind of "wow" factor that they once did.
However, I AM looking forward to seeing and evaluating the different shows that these companies are going to be presenting. As a student of the theater, I take presentation seriously, and part of my E3 critique always comes down to the feel of the shows themselves. It's not just the information you have to reveal, but how you reveal it.
This was one of Microsoft's big problems last year. I look forward to seeing how they handle themselves this year.

You might find some enjoyment from this. Or it might disgust you, typically one of the two.
Who's your guys main stream for those who aren't there? I'm so used to Gametrailers so that's gonna be my main feed for the event for another year, but I have Twitch's coverage on my second monitor. : D

I've currently got both streams up right now too... I'm not sure which one I'll stick with for the main event...
Seems the Twitch stream is better quality, and ahead of the gametrailers one, I'll most likely use twitch for press conferences and gametrailers for extra coverage. This new Call of Duty visually looks amazing, its pretty crazy to think about how games are now, you have to really look to tell if trailers are CG or gameplay. Just being able to have that argument alone just shows how far we've come.
Loving the Indie stuff. Didnt catch the names but "Oni" or "Uni"...(someone correct me, i was too busy looking at how gorgeous it is) and the new Limbo look awesome as well.
Not a bad showing from Microsoft. No big surprises, but that isn't unusual in the year after a major hardware launch. They seemed quite determined to re-position the XBox One as a gaming machine this year, and their presentation bore this out. They focused on games, and had a considerable amount of content to back this up.
I did notice that they seem to be keen on resurrecting and revisiting some of their older franchises and IP. Halo is a no-brainer. But we also saw Phantom Dust and Crackdown show up. Neither of those franchises caught on in their original incarnation. But they both have a considerable amount of potential, and were solid games in their own right.
With the pressure they are under Microsoft is reaching for IP they can leverage for XBox One exclusive titles. It's a proven strategy, and I appreciate that they are taking a little bit of a risk on some lesser-known properties. Phantom Dust in particular is quite obscure. I have a copy of the original, but I'm a game-collecting nutcase.
Great MS press conference this year, much better than last. They still like to do the weird camera cut-aways from the gameplay to show the stage though
Inside gets my vote for most exciting game. I thought Limbo was incredible. Watching that little boy meet his demise made me cringe every time.
And with a 60 dollar price point! I'm sold. This is also a big deal because the Halo 2 servers were shut down, so this essentially brings them back! So excited
