Made a better Matinee in UE4, exported the short clip as an image sequence, processed it with Sony Vegas 10, and then uploaded to youtube so everyone can see
Here's the video! I just uploaded it, so it may not be viewable immediately, according to the little youtube message that popped up.
Made some very useful alpha brushes out of 3D fractals exported from Mandelbulb 3D into Zbrush, which I then cleaned up and did a BPR, saving only the 16 bit depth images. These alphas were used with symmetry in both the x and y axises to produce this bit of geometry that I think sort of looks like an alien spaceship.
I've been playing around with a new program I found called "topmod." I love creating geometrical objects like these that would be really hard to make with only a traditional modeling program.
Testing out Allegorithmic's software called "Bitmap2Material" with the trial version (that's why you see the watermarked logos). I think it's a really great software, and I'm considering buying the indie version.
I've been playing around with Verve Painter and I really like the fluid dynamics it has! Here's a little painting I did with it just to test out the program.
Trying to learn Blender now so that I can create the 3D versions of these 2D concepts with particles. Blender is quite amazing, but I'm not familiar with it yet. Here's what I made so far.
Thanks guys! I've been learning about Blender fluid dynamics, and I'm very impressed with it so far. The lighting was done with an HDRI map provided for free at sIBL Archive
Modeled in Zbrush in about an hour and a half, decimated down so that I could render in Modo, and then I used an HDRI environment from the sIBL archive.

Here's another verve painting. It's referenced from a spider picture taken by Thomas Shahan.
I used Verve for the base design, and then I added most of the glow in Photoshop.
keep going!
