made a quick flashlight in substance painter, made a material function for the light, made it toggle on and off with blueprint and added a little effect at the end of the body as well
Switching back and forth between environments and VFX every other day to create a VFX portfolio. Hoping to hit the new year running with fresh work to get a job ASAP.
Took a second crack at the rocks because I wasn't too satisfied with how they turned out initially. These are a little better. Will probably continue to noodle with them. Will probably add a world aligned grime map at some point.
did a SUPER fast and simple ultimate trim sci-fi hall using 3 textures (1 dif, 1 packed, 1 nrm) as a restriction. Would like to do another one and get fancier with some more decals in a third UV.
Cool! I like the big orange pipe & windows and how their richness contrasts with the rest of the palette. Speaking of palettes - I think the wood could use some ends n rings, and the bags seem very blocky. If they slouched a bit more and had variation they would feel more natural.
Oh and I like your lighting. It plays well with the scene. You could accentuate the long fading shadows being cast by the window frames. The little one that's already there is neat, and the overall effect would be mirrored by the ceiling rafters - adding more depth to your scene.
@Tetranome I agree with everything you said. I'm re-using a lot of the wood texture on various objects. The pallet in particular have been bothering me this past week. I've just been avoiding re-doing them because I'd rather focus on new props that will help sell the bar under construction vibe.
I think I'll have to write your feedback down with my
Haven't checked that thread for a while, missed a lot of cool stuff, I love the diversity of your work! I really love the lighting in your last render and the amount of love put into the details, will be back for more

Been bouncing between other projects, started juggling too much and honestly fell into a funk for a few days. Funk gone, back to work!
Calling this done. Still looking for a full time position any where in the US.
