I've been sketching a little bit lately and needed to get back into posting online more often. Feedback is always appreciated, I really want to grow in every avenue possible.
Nice studies and sculpts !
Nose are so hard, I can never sculpt a decent looking nose or anything actually haha, I should try to understand more the shape like you do!
I've been using character studies as a way to sharpen my eye for organic form, It really helps my environment work to jump back and forth a little.
Michael Hamptons approach of breaking forms into the simplest shapes and then re-envisioning them from different angles really improved my understanding of the forms.
Nothing fancy going on with the chair, I used a tiling texture and oriented the wood grain in the direction I thought it would flow overtop of the UVs. Then I looked for details like cracks and where they met the edges of surfaces to create the highlights. Throw in a little bounce lighting and boom. Chair
That Calcifer is amazing! I like how you modeled out his flamey head and the piece of semi-burnt wood. And the little squid in the sand is adorable, as well.
Calcifers fire was a nice challenge. Lots of spheres and elastic move brush. I'd like to push the texture a bit more personally, but I think I need to get back to filling up on environments.
Haha, the wood took me a couple tries. If you have any feedback on the metal I'd love any C&C. I love your Heroes of the storm piece and your League textures were top notch. I tend to have trouble getting my color and contrast to be so bold off the bat.
Worked on a warrior icon for a friends birthday to be 3D printed for a bracelet I ordered off amazon. Here's the sculpt. I'll post the pictures of the print in a bit! The design is from one of the World of warcraft art books
Looks neat! I would love to see more color variation in the wood and in the greens. Could also use some shadowing behind the leaves. Maybe add more edge wear on the wood. Cool asset!
Thanks! Its based on a concept that I think is by Alexandra Semushina. It's up on Sketchfab now; I've updated some textures, added some things and collecting a last bit of feedback still. I'll try to add some different shades of leaves to break it up some more!

*edit* Embed doesn't seem like it wants to work but at least the link functions
Getting out of my comfort zone; Limiting myself to only a few values is helping me focus on trying new things like adding depth of field to some things and adding bloom.
This is harder than it looks haha. Not used to drawing this frequently with a specific set of limitations. Starting to feel like I'm plateauing. Hopefully I break this one soon. I've already started to learn a good bit.
