Started working on this a few days ago, really early stage, just about done with the jacket and the shirt.
It's based on a concept from Mitchell Mohrhauser.
Been a while since I posted, here's my first (almost finished) scene in Unreal Engine 4!
And StephenVyas that animation is mesmerizing!
Looks cool! You should probably add some noise to the normal map of your road and sidewalk to make the reflection more believable. Right now it looks like the road is completely flooded with water.
Hey guys, as always you guys are keeping me motivated ! and for that THANK YOU !!
Here a scene i just finised, completely rendered in Marmoset 2.0 just added the planet and sky in Photoshop. It is part of a tutorial that should come out sometimes on 3D Artist Magazine ! Hope you guys like it
Just finished a statue for our school project. The base mesh was done by a coworker and I made it look like stone and then, retopo, bake, texturing and all that usual stuff
A lot of great work as always, every time I come and check out this thread I get really inspired. Some particular work i really liked:
walreu: The coffin looks pretty cool. I'm really liking the textures.
samifira: Your scene is looking sweet in UE4. I'm not an environment guy but I'm really digging the feel and atmosphere of your scene.
ZMeister: That bust is looking sick, I can totally see darksiders' style.
StephenVyas: Wow! Very fluid and epic animation.
Scythe: I've been following your progress on this character and it just looks awesome.
Crazy_pixel: Hilarious! Great stuff dude.
I finished this yesterday, I forgot to post it here. I'm a big fan of this guys videos on youtube. Even though I don't understand a word he says he is very entertaining and the food looks so delicious. Hope you guys like it.
I'm taking a step back from 2d to focus on 3d. Here are some doodles I worked on, my main focus is getting my shapes and form right (and getting used to zbrush :P).
head and hands need a bit more of love, looking good so far
I still have to start working on the hands/head, right now I'm trying to consolidate the armor texturing before going to the head.
Here's an eyeless, toothless, waxy head:
What do you think, sculpture wise?
Thanks for the feedback!
Edit:
Wow ok I didn't expect these screenshots to leave Polycount. Thanks for all the replies and feedback! Really motivated now. Note that this is NOT the Unreal Engine 4, but UDK (Unreal Engine 3), which is one of the reasons why some textures might look flat (no PBR ) and the reflections unrealistic. I'm working every day to port this to the new Unreal Engine 4 but as I mentioned in my original post there's lots of work that was unfinished not to mention that I have to redo all the materials and many textures because of the awesome physically-based shading in Unreal Engine 4. There's a lot more content in this level that I haven't shown yet and I probably won't until it's all finished. Thanks again for the replies!
Edit 2:
Yes, everything was rebuilt from the ground up, including high-poly's and all the stuff that goes with. No original Half-Life 2 material will be used (except for Dr.Breen's face and the Combine insignia). I'll provide screenshots of all the high-poly models and the likes when the time comes.
Original post:
Was working on this City 17 environment in UDK, still tons of stuff to do like creating all the exterior stuff, train interiors and some smaller models (monitors and props) but then Epic released UE4 in all its glory. I'll probably quit this project in UDK and convert it all to the Unreal Engine 4. It's gonna take a while though. Please note that there's lots of placeholder models/textures/lighting and general derpyness in these pics. Can't wait to get going with UE4.
One more of these. I did not know there was a deadline until after the deadline, so I just rushed it and applied ASAP, haha. I already got a turn-down email! Maybe next year
Finally finished these two and I'm really happy with the turnout! My original characters, Trigger and Zipper from my upcoming Flash series, Trigger Happy. Modeled, textured and rigged by me in 3DS Max 2014.

My thread is over here
Great work!
Much appreciated
I'll make the base tomorrow.
Trying out Marmoset Toolbag 2 with a new character.
~28k tris. Albedo, normal, specular, gloss
And a screengrab from Zbrush:
my first stab at hand painted textures, finally got myself a month of 3Dmotive and I love the tutorials!
Although, not to happy with the red part, looks to much like plastic, any advice?

This is so cool. I probably stared at it for about 2 minutes straight. Someone should make a small movie like this.

Zenoart: Love the lighting, really nice!
As for me, I'm putting a "done" stamp on Murray. Wish I had more time to spend on details, but I gotta move on and finish other things

My last update for this dude :
I really ought to make something... less sci-fi after this.
Guedin: Masterfully done!

Guedin - Love the pose, very haughty also, the knife sheaths.
StephenVyas - That's badass man.
I've been working on these for a little side contract, having a lot of fun playing with different material types -
I think I like it enough to put in my portfolio so if you can see anything that bugs you let me know
