Awesome, are you doing internals too? They are significantly simpler to model than the exterior
What do you use to get dimensions on this? Are you working off of actual numbers for bore and stroke to get things started?
no i'm not making internals, i only have one life. i didnt get dimensions, i am working off photographs. i did use the cylinders and a headgasket to start with, but that was all.

A small project i'm playing with in UE4. Started with FPS Blueprint example. Started messing with movement, camera shakes, got in temp sword and shield model. Added run. And bashed some basic content together.
Slightly updated, but far from complete - still too many placeholders.
My biggest problem is that I have no idea what should I put on the sides of the head.
Alright this is my first post related to my own work here! I hope this is the right place to post haha.. Im not applying for arenanet simply because I still have alot to learn. This is one of the first characters i've modeled that i have gone so far with, and to say i am quite happy with it. Unfortunatly juggling school work and this project really took up all my time and i didnt have enough time to learn the final steps of completing this test.
I took a few screen caps of, my take on the arena net 2014 test. It is still in the high poly stage. I would love some of you guys to give me some critiques and better yet some tips too!
I've been having trouble finding outwhere to learn how to bake my character I got as far as retopolgizing and also uv mapping. I've attempted exporting out some normal maps of individual armor parts...
Anyways i had alot of fun doing this and learnt alot! i believe thats all that matters right now!

I've been playing around with the demo version of World Machine and CryEngine. The results aren't too great, but about as much as I can do with 512* maps

My fuzzy coat doesn't even tickle my neck and ears as much as this. Oh yeah, my coats on btw. Much more comfy. Thanks for posting!

Got some free time so i resumed the work on the old guy i was doing, just some quick polypaint so still tonnes of work to do.
