What's up, guys!
Avery Coleman (concept artist for Darksiders 2),
Terrabite and myself decided to get together to start up a small game project. We're working on a run & gun platformer for PC. The name of our project is
Blubber Busters! We're currently working on the prototype for our game which we plan to release with our Kickstarter.
Blubber Busters is a game about surgically curing lovable space whales by any means necessary -- usually from the inside-out. Follow Rudy, the janitor aboard the orbital SVP (that's Space Veterinary Platform), as he's thrust into the role of surgeon as the chief-of-staff in a failing hospital.
If you'd like to read more about the story, feel free to check out the brief on our site ->

We wanted to share our development with the art communities that inspired us to create this and hope you enjoy what we make!

Subbed!
Just curious why are there brains on that one of those lady's arms? Do her abilities require amp psychnoic energy?
Since Avery is still getting his Polycount username set up, here's some early sketches of his space medics. Below that is some texture progress on our favourite space medics (textures by Cody and myself.) We also have an official name for our game Blubber Busters!
We have a facebook page as well. More updates soon!
Cant wait to see more.
and I second this.
Haha, thanks! XD Unfortunately we couldn't use Space Whale as the name because it's already used for another game. :poly134:
Oops! I missed this. We're using 1024 for now, but it may change. Glad you like em!
& thanks everyone else!
Here's a little more progress on my textures. I call her "Eva"
small crit would be the face, its a bit noisy and hard to read with everything. First the face, and then the hair(wich kinda looks like an arm brain to begin with) and then the glass on top of that, and then the cross on top of THAT, so many layers.
Thanks for the feedback! I used some photoshop magic to make the glass a colour and glow, so the final product shouldn't look as cluttered. I'll keep that in mind when we throw it in game and be sure it doesn't end up too busy.
