Particle effect in UDK. This will hopefully go into my demo reel.
I have about 15 quad particles on a frame. It uses a 256x256 texture with 4 channels. One material has 42 pixel shader instructions, the other has 60+65(distortion) pixel instructions:
- chaged from railcart to hovertank
- new mortar animation
- added mortar ammo
- added score and combos
- added primitive loose condition( reload to play again )
might as well bring this to a 3rd page!. Love it!!! Do you plan to have collision between the tank and the dudes? Maybe they should explode on collision causing damage...
Update on my shmup game. Still very basic. Let me know if the backgrounds are black. For some reason the BG's arent working on some computers. It should look like the image below.
Impala that rug looks tasty, love how eats nomming on some of the light from the jukebox to. It looks as if it's floating though, I'd also turn it a bin, it's to parallel the floor tile lines... looks ace though
Some sort of futuristic soldier, inspired by slipgatecentral's Cerberus soldier.
Still WIP. Gonna harden up some of the softer looking parts and of course texture it. Probably gonna import it into Unreal and use it for the scene I'm currently working on.
my personal opinion on this is that you should have gone with a very dark brown, or even a black fur. something that compliments the current colouring of the floor, but creates contrast through the difference in material. i think that would have far more impact (if done right) than a huge white eyesore.
Started to learn 3dmodeling and sculpting couple of weeks ago. This is the item i am learning with and still working on. Supposed to be a dota2 tidehunter weapon one day. texturing is not working out as intended so far ^^
I actually like the rug impala, might just need a dog or cat lying on it to break it up a little.
ysalex, might wanna do something with the background, perhaps desaturate it.. face is looking bit dark too in that pose. looks great aside from that though
Here's a piece I completed last year and decided to polish up (which effectively ended up being a complete repaint ). Rocks still need some love but it's getting there!

while a different colour may have suited it more, it wouldn't match the reference. This is (Yes Digital Cantina) Tony Stark's Garage from Iron Man, and he has a white rug. Edit: ok, cream rug
It should look a lot better when the tables, couches/seats/lamps and other stuff are in place around it. I may yet darken it though if it's still too bright.
Here's a rifle concept that I'm working on. I started by knocking out a simple 3D-mock to use as a foundation for painting.
Still a lot of work left to do - a first-person view for instance!
The glass orb scope will later have some sort of holographic scope-interface when you look through it, and I've invented a kind of "smart fluid" - a light-bending nanobot-liquid - to make it work.
It will be an energy-based weapon, but I feel that I fail to get that across on the first(or second, or even third) read right now.
I have an idea for the projectile it fires, but I have yet to implement it.

Just another quick turntable of another starcraft building I made. Will be putting up a process thread sometime within the week so keep an eye out!
Mostly finished texturing this, now to actually block out and start making the actual environment!
Also need to fix the animation!
Update on my scene :-

That's the single coolest thing I've seen this week! Love the texture style too.
oggie boogie's ?
The problem is if I work any more in to the head texture, I tend to lose the likeness.
its actually pretty low res

In my opinion the skin looks too wax-like. Great model though!
