I Started making some meshes for a church scene. Debating weather to build the scene in CryEngine or UDK.. any suggestions?
If you know CryEngine, I would go with that, if you don't, go with Udk, allot easier to get a grasp of but I believe slightly less pretty results, now before I start a war on here, I know you can get just as good or better results with udk, its just generally it seems to have a slightly less good rendering engine, but is allot easier to learn.
There are to many awesome pictures here to even begin quoting them! This thread is a very humbling experience!
These tiny little things are from the RTS we're working on
Hi, new to Polycount! Working on some 3D environments with modular environments, and was interested in getting some honest feedback. I am happy with progress (two texture sheets so far) but feel the environments are a little empty and dull.
It is a sci-fi environment, based on the engineering deck of a starship of some kind. Gone for a hand painted look! Made with 3DS, photoshop and UDK.
Any advice for a relative newbie is appreciated! Not afraid of brutality either! Thanks!
I recently applied to splash damage for a character artist role. Unfortunately I never got an answer but found a neat concept sketch they apparently give out as an art test.
Decided to have a go anyway
It's still WIP but almost done
Looks nice right now, so go for it, give it 120% and submit it.
PS. Sometimes companies do take quite a while to get back to you.
Hey everybody, I'm going to try and zsketch League of Legends as "personal art" every weekend, so here's my version of Kassadin! Enjoy!
(Note: This is a personal fan art project by me, and is not affiliated with Riot games in any way)
Haya just wanted some feedback on this shotgun i made, thanks.
usually your thumb is used (behind the trigger) to give vertical support to the weapon, since you have a blade there, this become impossible. Try to think about real situations (how the weapon is going to be used) before modelling
Not really for a game, but a comic book series I'm working on starting up and hopefully releasing in March. Though, I would love nothing more than to update the old 3D model, based off the old design of the character, pictured here- http://spidey8790.deviantart.com/gallery/36811249?offset=24#/d52fz3e Here is the ref the old model was based off of- You can see a definite change in the style. Hopefully soon, I can update the model to match the comic book version, using Max and Zbrush.

Wow, mate. That looks awesome!
I love the lighting...it really helps to sell the small details. Everything seems really solid and weighty too

Next theme!
I remember seeing a link to one on here a while back
You can do it in photoshop. Record turntable and then in photoshop just import video frames to layers then save for web. There you go.
and sunday afternoon doodle which i'll prolly do something greater with :

Almost done with this thing.
Trying to decide if it needs a base or not for presentation.
