Dragging my butt out of hiding to be/stay active. I've got a big update planned for my pinup thread, so I'll get to that around this weekend.
For now I've got my Rainbow Mika that I'm working on for the Fan art challenge on facebook.
Lonewolf, your hard surface is freaking sexy. If you ever publish a book I'd totally buy it! (one of those big hard covers with hardly any text in it)
I think I might have mentioned this before but I'll mention it again just in case...While the details are hot and the designs of the mechanics are cool, I really think you could have gone a lot farther with the overall concept of Grimlock. The silhouette just doesn't speak to me. Having said that, the appeal of these pics is really "look at this cool hard surface robot stuff!" and not "look at this cool Hasbro™ Transformer™"

about the concept, i know exactly what u mean and i feel the same, but i still dont have anything in mind to make it look better, i hope i will later on =\
It's been a while since I've posted anything! I did some freelance work for Glu on their Black Gate: Inferno mobile MMO game:
I did the designs, except where indicated, as well as the modeling and texturing (I couldn't change the base body models of the player characters though). Each took ~2 days (3 for revisions), ~600 triangles, ~256x256 diffuse only painted textures. It was tough, but it was fun to dip back into these low specs.
We're finally getting into normal mapping at work as the engine we use got a bit of an overhaul recently. Here's something I've been cutting my teeth on at work.

Hi, I´m Arturo and is my first time posting in WAYWO. I´m currently working on the model of this design that I drew a while back inspired on Hawken. (this was started on paper, then colored on photoshop).
Currently, I´m doing the Hi poly, and then a low poly. I´m planning to do the girl too, but I will tweak the design when the time comes. My budget will be 25k triangles for the mech, and 20k for the girl. I´m relativelly new with Hi Poly and modern techniques (3 years more or less) so I pretend to improve my skills during the process. any comment and criticism is more than welcome!
I've been doing 3d work for a long time, but I've never really done much sub-division modelling. This is really my first serious attempt, and I wanted to share. This is a turret for a game project I've been wanting to do for years.
I'm still working on elevator with pressure plate model. Current wip, 2048 textures and material with bump offset. Modeling itself is very basic, I will add gears and mechanical parts next and spend huge amount of time to create beautiful textures.
Blockout more shapes on lower body. Add Scar on the chest. Start to add details such as veins and wrinkles. More work to do. (bandaged for-arm and lower leg). and of cause need more details on face~!
This thread is so full of awesome it ain't even funny. haikai, those characters look amazing!
I'm starting my dream internship in just a few weeks so I've been working on some really basic characters for practice. Been working on this girl for three days now.

really nice sculpt, but that pose doesn't do it justice at all, it really shrinks him down and makes him way less imposing than he is. remember he's 7ft4in tall, and built like a brick shit-house. pose him appropriately!

I also did some mediocre Evangelion fan art, haha:
Sorry I modify that
So, like the giant nerd I am, I designed myself as a chibi game character.
Any thoughts for improvement would be MUCH appreciated! Like. I'm begging you here. Help me get awesome.
Jesus dude...

Here's something I finished for a tutorial recently. Concept by Marc Brunet.
