@Fnitrox I really like the painterly effect while maintaining a somewhat realistic look you have in that textura!. Also, loving the golden bits, can't wait for you to start the thread!
@Fnitrox maybe working in the distribution instead of the specular itself? Didn't made any research but I assume the lichens would grow in places where there is moisture, and it is more probably to accumulate water between the rocks than in the rocks themselves like you have in there now.
Maybe making the lichens grow from the sides of the roc pieces and then dissapearing gradually towards the center of each piece of the floor?? Mostly like you did with the moss
dDo pass on the wood sculpt I posted this morning. dDo isn't the best for regular textures, but I like the outcome after just a little bit of fooling around. It provides a really good base that I could go over later in Photoshop.

So I've been modeling some kind of sci-fi billboard. Used Ndo2 for the first time in the process (Which I don't find very intuitive nor fast) The final goal is to create a material in UDK with scanlines and some flickering stuff. I'm still not happy with the current normals and I'm afraid of starting the texturing process. Could you guys please give me some feedback?
