Hey, 1st time post here in the WAYWO..
These pieces are just practice, I received no money from the creation of these scenes, I just saw some awesome artwork that I wanted to recreate in 3D
Took a little break from my enviro to make this. I just started getting into warthammer and need to decide my colour scheme so I made this to help me choose!
Still a wip but this kind of presentation popped into my head and I had to mock it up!
Hello there!
So much good work here! Smegger - Nice scene sir, I like it
Here some studies I did to practice Hard surface in zbrush!
So much work for that, lol, and it have 57 million polys!!!
But I learn a lot, that was the point
Been busy with my final year projects, we were asked to create an environment based from a movie scene for one, I picked District 9. I think with the time-frame given, I chose something that was far too big to accomplish in time, anyhow here is the work in progress within UDK... until I decide to finish it in more detail some time soon!
More fun with after effects, I have to learn how to control the 3d camera a bit more. This was a test on automating a lot of features via the expressions.
having a play with the cockpit in the Qwerp ship- pilot's bone weight need tweaking but main thing is getting the cockpit finished then moving on to the hangar- wanna make a scene that copies the Velocity 2d art (ship is parked up in the hangar, pilot is walking about outside).
Thinking of ripping the textures apart at some point and see if I can find a decent toon shader and stick it all in Unity- at the moment this is set to 100% self illumination and I've just done all the shading in the textures by hand.
Awesome man! They're super fun to do, glad I inspired someone to try it out . Also, hot damn, love that grunge/dirty overlay texture.. I found mine to be a little too overboard, but your's has a nice balance.
Once I'm done with a video I just pan through the whole thing and take screencaps of areas I enjoy/enjoyed the best.
Thought these would make a rad business cards (If I ever was going to make one)

Crosspost from my thread. Doing one last paintover and crunching to finish this now.
So, is this for a job or why are you doing it when you hate it?
