TF2 - Polypack - Buck

Hey guys, Buck here. I got interested in modding just a few weeks back and after i saw this i couldn't help but join up. My chosen class will be the Heavy, even though i don't have too many ideas for him yet i will take it one step at the time. MY THEME IS TORN UP, BASHED UP AND BATTLE HARDENED EQUIPMENT. Might wanna call it old equipment or whatever. My first weapon will be a minigun replacement, Here is a paintover of a little edited sasha model, just for a concept, it has 2 significantly smaller Gatling guns with only 3 or 4 barrels each and a big shield with a side cut off for better view. I will remodel it from scratch adding changed that i feel would be nice.
EDIT: The theme im using is destroyed/war torn/battle hardened items. First item is the Iron Kurtain(WiP Name) Second item will be Bear Baiters Bonnet or Bear Wrestlers Helmet and third one will be a shotgun replacement.

Well we haven't seen the Minigun worn yet.
I think that as long as his head is still visible to not eliminate one of his main counters, I think it's pretty fine.

would probably be more cohesive with the heavy's "big gun" aesthetic. Besides making more sense for the period, it would also make the gun seem like something right out of a tank, which definitely fits for the Heavy.

As for the shield... I agree that it kinda looks awkward. I think you need a different shape, but I honestly don't know what shape that might be...
Looks like a fantastic concept, though! I can't wait to use it ingame

Shield aside though, the minigun looks really good!
1. is too big.
2. is not so bad...
Number 1 looks quiet good, but its not fiting in the Style. Its more like Fatasy/Ork Style.
Number 2 looks a lil bit ... boring, but is maybe the best fitting model.
Number 3 looks like something doesn't fit. The reversed Shield kinda not fits.
1 reminds me too much of Combine technology, 2 looks too plain.
What's your planned theme by the way?
